As of this morning, I have

1) lost over 150 pounds since I began this weight loss journey,
2) lost over 50% of my "excess weight" (above my goal), and
3) reached under 300 pounds for the first time in over 20 years (since my oldest child was conceived)! Yay me!!! Woo hoo!!!

I am 6 months and 11 days past surgery - lost 60 pre-surgery and as of this morning am down another 82.4 for a total of 142.4 lbs lost! 7.6 more pounds and I will be halfway to my goal of 300 lbs lost!

Started program May 5, 2012 at 450 lbs. Lost 60 lbs pre-surgery. Had surgery February 12, 2013. Today (6 months + 2 weeks post-surgery) I am down a total of 142 lbs.

My NUT tools me that people often hit a stall when they reach a weight that they stayed at for a while on the way up - like their body recognizes a familiar place and wants to linger there. As others have said, she said to mix things up when a stall hits.

I had 300 lbs to lose when I started my surgical 'program'. At that time, they told me that the surgeon probably would want me to get the bypass due to my diabetes, but I really didn't want to re-do all of my internal plumbing! 9 months and 60 lbs lost later, I met with the surgeon who told me it was my choice! I chose the sleeve and am very happy with that decision. I had also read about problems with absorption of not only Vitamins, but pain medication, and people who had bypasses being accused of drug seeking behavior because their bypass prevented them from absorbing their pain meds!

Today I received the results of my first Hemoglobin A1C test since my surgery, nearly 4 months ago. I was taken off 2 different oral medications for the diabetes when I got out of the hospital - 2000 mg/day of Metformin XR and 45 mg/day of Actos. After over 3 months off meds, my level was 6.0% - lower than it's ever been, and actually within the normal range! Woo hoo!!!
Added June 11 - I took my measurements yesterday. I've lost 10 inches in my hips and a full foot (yes, 12 inches!) In my waist since the end of last July. As of this morning, I'm down 120 lbs since starting my program in May, 2012, 60 of those since surgery on February 12, 2013. Double Woo hoo!

I know how much my husband appreciates the musical horn solo lullaby I serenade him with each night when we go to bed!

I, too, have become a mistress of gaseous emissions. I'm pretty sure that the methane I'm generating may be accelerating global warming by several years. The up side is that I can get revenge on my dogs, who--although quite small--are experts at the SBD stank bomb. Now they leave the room because of ME.
I teach middle school--my street cred is about to go THROUGH THE ROOF, for I shall crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and hear the lamentation of their women.

Funny. My 4 month surgiversary was this past Wednesday, and I was down 60 lbs, too!

I've always said if you aren't comfortable enough with someone to fart in front of them, then you shouldn't consider having a long-term romantic relationship with them.
