    Dizzy

Have any meds been skipped? That happened to me when I quit taking one of my meds after surgery and forgot to start it back up.
  2. Mangomic, I was sleeved 2/28 and am very tired too. I assume its due to the small amt of calories. I am dilligent about getting protein, fluids, vitamins and iron.

    Nervous

Goya, I think its normal. My surgery is the day after yours and I'm just trying to focus on why I'm willing to do this, I am so tired of being overweight. Good luck to you.
  4. Welcome! I'm I newbie too, scheduled for 02/28. This is a great site to follow with a lot of good advice. I found that my insurance (BCBS) will not cover the surgery because my company's policy doesn't have a bariatric policy of any type (small company). I'm financing the surgery. Before my consultation, I wrote down all of my questions to ask my Dr. Good luck!!

    Waiting to be seen

I know exactly what you mean Melissa! I've gained 80 lbs over the past 5 years (I need to lose 110) and I have noticed the same thing. Even most of my guy friends who used to "flirt harmlessly" no longer do that! It is painful and I'm glad I'm going to do something about it. Unfortunately, "it is what it is" and I don't think we can change people who already are like this. It makes me feel differently about the guy friends I do who treat me this way even though they don't realize they are doing this. Hopefully your boys will influence their peers. Good luck!!

  8. Yikes! my surgery is in 3 weeks and I haven't been told to do any of these things. Also, I'm supposed to have liquid diet only one week before surgery, but I see most have 2 weeks. Any suggestions?

Dating and dealing with the sleeve...

If he makes a really big deal about it or pressures you, it may be a red flag about his personality. Good luck. OOps, just read the dates... sorry. So are you glad you had the sleeve?
