I I also at a stall for about 2 weeks sleeve 3-4-2013 I was doing about 350-475 cals a day then I went up to about 600 and up my water a lot and walking more and the weight is coming off a again I am also getting about 70g of protein a day I do eat a little more on the weekends I still have a hard time to eat all my food in I try to eat about every 3 hrs...3 meals and 2 snack lots of water hope this help...Good Luck!!

Whoohoo on your date for your sleeve I had my sleeve March 4th good luck on your per op diet it was the hardest thing for me to do keep drink lots of water and get all your protein in and chew sugar free gum it helps good luck on your new life you will be glad you did this just take it one day at a time and you will be fine I read this book weight loss surgery for dummies it's was a lot of help...


  3. If I eat to fast man o man the pain I use my timer on my Iphone for 10mins and I stop for 10mins then I can stop or take another bite it helps to slow me down all ways been a fast eater and chew chew chew hard to do!!

Hang in there everyone has a stall try to up your water and more protein not everyone is the same and start moving more I walk a lot more I had a stall also but I start to lose inches and they weight again I all so read this great book Weight Loss for Dummies it's been a life saver has a lot of answer good luck Don't eat fast food you will get very very stick !! I DO the same thing reading labels it takes for ever to shop..:) It's a new way of Life!!

Please don't get discouraged...I felt the same about 4-5 days post-op I think it's coming off all the drugs they give you..major surgery is hard on the body and the brain you just had 80% of your stomach remove and depression and anxiety is part of it be good to your self it get's better day by day.I am 10 days post op and today was my best day a little cramps if I drink to fast but at 54 yrs old it's been slow going I not upset with my family the other day and I just went outside and enjoyed the sun and it helps...Good Luck!!


  6. Eating to fast will make you feel that away my Dr said it takes about 4mos for the stomach to get back on track you had a surgery that remove 85% of your stomach out

    time will help but get all of your protein In I have to get 65g-70g a day Good Luck!!

    I also use my timer on my Iphone to help me to slow down..


  7. I just got back from my DRS. today now they are sending my paper work to my Ins,co. hope to have surgery in March sometime.. You can make your own clear foods.Like chicken soup ect...as for protein I use Whey from Walmart Body Fortress it's good for protein powers. I have gone to YouTube a lot for help and great advice I got lots of sugar free jello,hot tea,soups I know this is going to be the hardest part to do the per-op.I went to the Baby food area at Walmart I got my little

    Baby cups,spoons,fork,and slippcups and some foods with no cals,fat,sugars free also got the book,Weight Loss surgery for Dummies great book for prepare for surgery and achieve the best results.Do a lot of walking in and out of the hospital it will help with the gas and weight loss good luck to you might take some lip balm with you to the hospital so Happy for you!!!

That is hard for me also to slow slow down I am per per post op I am now setting my IPhone timer so I can slow down it has help some.. and no drinking with meals is hard also.I have been getting lots of protein in. They have a HapIfork on line that helps you to slow down it vibrakes when eatting to fast might order one I also went to Baby spoons it helps some..
