  5. Gastric dumping syndrome, is a condition where ingested foods bypass the stomach too rapidly and enter the small intestine largely undigested. It happens when the small intestine expands too quickly due to contents from the stomach. Symptoms of early dumping include nausea, vomiting, bloating, cramping, diarrhea, dizziness, and fatigue. "Late" dumping happens one to three hours after eating. Symptoms of late dumping include weakness, sweating, and dizziness. The syndrome is most often associated with gastric bypass (Roux-en-Y) surgery. - From Wikipedia

I am 10 mos out and I lost about the same amount. It started growing back at 8 mos but nothing has helped me but time. It is a HUGE bummer. I am so sorry.

    Fried food

I am 10 months out and gave up anything fried before surgery. That said, if you want a fry, I imagine you can eat one.
  8. Wonderful post. I applaud your journey and sharing.

    Off my meds!

Happy dance indeed! Congratulations. Amazing results so quickly.
  12. I am so proud of you and you should be too! This journey is full of those kinds of moments and what you chose was great. Sometimes, you may make a different choice and that is ok too because what you did tonight proves YOU CAN DO IT! Keep making good choices for yourself.
  13. That is normal. Like Arts as aid, the restriction is not really felt until your stomach heals a bit more and you begging eating solids. I started feeling my restriction around 6 weeks out.
  14. So glad this forum is back online. I've decided I need it to stay on top of myself. I was sleeved 02/04/2013. I am very close to goal and have lost quite a bit of weight, more than 130lbs. This final stretch is killing me! Glad have you guys back.

    Working out. When?

I was cleared for cardio 7 days post op which included walking, cycling, elliptical (what I chose). I just had to make sure I didn't engage my core too much. For strength training, I had to wait until 6 weeks post op.
