    3 month surgiversary!

start now! When I was on here pre op, people mentioned it was a good idea especially if we stall so we can see how far we've come! If it weren't for pictures, I wouldn't be able to see my weight loss at all!

    2013 Holidays

Well, of course this is my first year cooking thanksgiving for a large group. I plan on cooking all the traditional sides and goodies, but just being smart about what I eat. I'm making a few low carb dishes that I found on Pinterest as well .

that's a family favorite here too!! I'm so glad you liked it . For my husband and kids, I'll add corn and either serve it over rice or with tortilla chips.

    Sleevers by profession.

I'm a stay at home mom and wife. I'm only 24 so I don't have much of a work history. Before my youngest was born, I was the senior account director in charge of the Asia pacific for a publishing company.

    Almost 3 months post op

70lbs since July 10?! What was your starting weight? What's your routine?? I had surgery July 3 and only lost 53 (63 from highest)
  13. I don't have an answer, but I feel the same way. I had surgery in July, and I'm 63ish lbs down, but I still see the same old me. I went from a size 26 to a 17/18, but I can't see it
  14. Ok, this is more of a vent because I'm sure some people on here can relate or sympathize since my husband doesn't really understand. My husband noticed that I've been a bit depressed lately so he said he would watch the kids and gave me his credit card to go clothes shopping since I've been living in the same 4 outfits for almost a year. Any other woman would be ecstatic, but I on the other hand, HATE shopping for myself. I stood in the dressing room with my size 24 capris and 3x tops wondering how the hell I ever let myself get this heavy (tipping the scales at 290 and im only 5'3"!) I cried the whole way home and gave the hubs a horrible attitude as I walked in the door. Now I'm sulking in the living room while he eats dinner with the kids. He says my weight doesn't bother him, but how can it not? He's so handsome, has a great body and could probably land himself something a hell of a lot better looking then me. I know I know, he's a great guy and loves me for me. But what he doesn't like is that I've simply stopped caring. I'm a stay at home mom. A FAT stay at home mom. I rarely get out of my pjs never mind do my hair or makeup. I need this surgery so badly. 3 more months! I just have to make it through 3 more months. I have an apple body, so it's all in my stomach/arms/face. How do you ladies (or gentlemen) make yourselves feel better? What can I do to help to "care" about myself until I get my surgery and lose this weight? Any specific clothing types that flatter plus size women? I bought some jewelry and makeup and I'm going to try to put the effort in for my husband. And to think when we met, I was the hot college cheerleader!! Ugh, thanks for listening to my extremely depressing rant!

    Pity party...

Much happier . I'm 2.5 months post op and just recently (VERY recently) I'm beginning to love myself. Im beginning to respect myself. And I've found that there is a lot less tension in my house because I'm happier. That's probably my biggest victory to date .

Pepper/diet root beer Cook chicken in soda in low all day (6ish hours). Drain liquids and shred chicken. Add BBQ sauce. CREAMY CHICKEN: 4 chicken breasts 2 cans fat free cream of chicken 1 packet of Italian dressing mix Mix dressing packet with 3/4 cup of Water and pour over chicken. Cook for 2 hours, then add cream of chicken Soup. Cook an additional few hours. I usually add string beans and onions too. BUFFALO CHICKEN: 4 chicken breasts 1 ranch dressing packet Butter (i used margarine) 1 cup franks hot sauce Cook on low all day and shred before serving ITALIAN CHICKEN: 4 chicken breasts 1 chopped onion 1 chopped green pepper 1/2 bottle of light Italian dressing (the oily, not the creamy) Cook on low all day BEEF STEW: 1 lb of stew meat Whatever veggies you want (I use carrots, green beans, peas) Potatoes (optional. I make them for my hubby and kids) 1 packet brown gravy mix (low sodium) 1 packet onion soup mix 1 packet Italian dressing mix Put in enough water to just cover meat and add all packets. Cook all day GRILLED CHICKEN PARM: Season chicken cutlet with salt/pepper/garlic powder/Italian seasoning Pan cook until almost cooked all the way through. Put in baking dish and cover with sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese Bake until cheese is bubbly The. I broil a few min because I like that brownish cheese
