Anniemay it doesn't have to change. I bring my Protein Shake to the dinner table and now I'm starting to have a little food with my family. If I can't have what they're eating I just have something that is leftover. Dinner time is precious time for us, I wouldn't change that because I can't eat what they are. Just my thought.

Well...I had my one year anniversary last week. I have lost 100.2 lbs and 12 pant sizes. If you are at the beginning of your journey, it is worth every ounce of doubt, fear, and pain. Take a deep breath and jump. It is worth it!

So I crushed the pill last night and drank it with a little bit of crystal light. I woke up ten times better this morning! I went from a 15 minute gagging spree to a 5 minute one this morning. I noticed that when I drank the crushed pill, there was a lot leftover after all the liquid was gone. So tonight I'm going to try to continue mixing the drink as I drink it. I can't wait until these morning gagging sessions are gone for good!

How are you doing Peacockmama? Haven't seen you posting. Hoping and praying things are ok.

I cried everyday! Haha jk but it was tough preop. You just get through it and remember why you're doing it. Soon it will be a distant memory.

Just wanted to make sure you knew that. Wherever you are on this journey, you are very special and totally unique right this moment. You have the right to love yourself and be patient with the process and find something today to reflect on and be happy.
Make space for yourself, between this moment and the next is space, an option to create each moment. We cannot do it all the time. But what if you do it twice a day? Later, a few more, come back to it again and again? What a phenominal gift to give yourself.
I want to share a dream I had with you. Just you. Everyone else can read it, but this is for YOU.
I dreamed I walked into a room, and was just amazed at what I saw. It was so beautiful. There were murals painted on the wall, artwork and carvings and woven baskets, pottery, clothing and hats. Cards and notes written on hand-made paper sat next to herbs and hand made soap, medicinal liquors and jars of honey. There was reclaimed furniture, painted, upholstered. Pillows and the window had suncatchers and orgami animals, wind chimes and papermache lanterns. Plants and veggies grew, frames held familiar faces, loved ones near and far. I looked around and became aware that this was all mine. Not "I own this". It was mine. At some point in my life I had made everything in this room. It was a really lucid dream, nothing was exaggerated, As I walked around I realized I had a note in my hand. It was from me to me. I opened it up and it said "live".

In my jome I have stairs to get in the front door. And stairs either up or down to get to one of the bathrooms. The stairs haven't been problematic for me but I have been taking a bit slower so I don't get run over by one of my dogs.

You guys are suffering from head hunger. It feels so real, but it's not. And liquids will not make you feel full. Once you start on solid foods, believe me the feeling of fullness will come very quickly and easily. Until you get to that point, yeah it's tough. But just think how skinny you're going to be this time next year. It will make it all worth while.
And for those of you thinking you're not losing fast enough....SMH!!! 10 pounds in 2 weeks....that's fast enough. Don't compare your numbers to other people's losses. The weight will come off if you follow the plan. Be strong and soon this tough time will be a distant memory.

Will power is like a muscle the more you use it the stronger it gets...

Sleeved on the 12th. Today was my first full day home. I slept A LOT but each time I woke up I walked around my house for 15-30 minutes, did my deep breathing, and tried to get down a few more ounces very slowly. I'm only supposed to do Protein Shakes after I get in at least 32oz of Water. Well, I got my 32oz and now I'm slowly working on room temp beef broth with unflavored Protein Powder mixed in. I'm managing pain well. I csn seem to go longer periods of time btwn doses. Nothing tastes good, not the broth, not the sf stuff I added into my water, not even my water. But I'm sipin away anyhow.

I have one week Clear Liquids then two weeks full liquids then two weeks puréed.

I have had the opposite problem ,Ive had bad Constipation on the liquid pre-op, I think its all the Protein. I have to take laxatives all the time.

It's one thing when you see the same posts over and over again. That is bad enough. And yeah, plenty of people ask questions that could easily be answered with a simple search....that gets slightly old but it's not the end of the world. But what makes me want to go away is someone who is 2 weeks out of surgery, and over run with emotions and head hunger...cursing me out because I suggest that they not eat a cheeseburger just yet. Somehow that makes me an unsupportive ass. That really drives people away.

Hi guys! March 12th was my one year surgiversary. stay on top of ur meds, keep sipping, and try to walk just a little bit. It will help with gas pain. Gas pain hit me after two or three days. It was weird because it was in my shoulder. Crazy. Anyhow, take care and rest and heal.

The one thing I vowed I would not do was turn 30 fat and thanks to the sleeve I won't! Happy Birthday all the liquids and tears were worth it. You look great and the best thing about the sleeve is most of us look like we were never fat once we reach goal.

I buy the premixed premiere Protein from costco. It's worked for me!

I did it!! Started at 299 and this morning 199.6!! I can't stop crying. I haven't been under two hundred pounds in 14 years!!!

Everything went great! I'm on fluids now and should be headed home tomorrow evening! Thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes.

Today is my first day post-op. No nausea, mild to moderate discomfort. It's not painful. Just uncomfortable. Prayers have been answered. God is so good.

Having made the choice to move forward, I felt relieved. As I have moved along in the process I find more and more relief. There is something almost calming to have such support in this community. I am nervous about the procedure but also very optimistic about the future. Which is something I had not really been for some time. Does anyone else out there feel the same? No one said the journey would be easy but to take charge of my future feels amazing.
