  1. My Dr office took care of the logs, they required me to track what I ate on my fitness pal and print it out for a couple of the visits to see how I was doing. Otherwise the monthly visit would take care of that part, they would enter in my food and workouts, weight and BP. As long as your DR has it together you should be fine. Mine was an expert at dealing with prioritys ins requirements, I never missed an apt that is important and make sure they are around the same time each month. Let me know if these anything else I can help you with.

    6 months post-op

I was sleeved 8/5/13 and I am under 900 a day still. I am keeping that low because my loss is slow, although today in fact is my 6 month f/u so maybe they will change me. I really am trying to watch my carbs, I have been trying to keep them under 50 and I think if I could get them lower I would lose faster but I also want to be able to have a diet that is sustainable the rest of my life too!!

  5. It helped me to look at some pictures of myself at my highest weight, then I looked in the mirror and I can see a big difference. But I still have issues, last night I was out with coworkers and there was a mirror I sat by on the wall I kept looking over and seeing how fat I was, ugh it made me feel awful. Its going to be a battle for a long time I think

There is a pregnancy forum you can check out, don't freak out though, my doctor said you can have a healthy pregnancy after the sleeve, they prefer you wait because it will affect your weight loss. So best go see your dr and call your surgeons office to start a plan. Congrats!
  11. Well I am finally getting to the other side of the hair loss thing. I am just about 6 months out. Mine started a little over 3 months and is just now winding down. I had normal to oily pin straight hair before and a lot of it. I can say that I have lost prob 40-50% of my volume of hair(thankful that I had a lot to begin with) and I am noticing that it is no longer oily but on the dry side. I used to have to wash it everyday now can go every other if I want. I have kept it long. I have taken my Vitamins but have never done the Biotin. My doctor told me that its a crap shoot with hair loss and that biotin may help but if you are going to lose it there's really no stopping it. But if my hair was thin to begin with I would have totally done biotin and rain dancing or whatever I could to keep me from going bald!!! Mine came out as a steading shedding all day no clumps or alarming amounts at a time. I think I am now just about back to normal losses.
  12. In fact I went through my closets last night! Purged 2 boxes and 3 garbage bags of clothes, I tend to hold onto things for ever!!! The salvation army is coming through my neighbor hood next week so I will be putting the stuff out for them. I have also given stuff to friends in need. I have purchased 2 pairs of jeans from kmart that were a bit snug a couple months ago and now are almost a tad big but still wearable. I love my yoga pants (that are now starting to get big in the thighs) My loss has been slow and gradual and I have clothes from all the different stages of weight loss from my past. That has helped. The good news is I had one pair of jeans that I have held onto from around my wedding (almost 8 yrs ago) they were my "someday" jeans, well I tried them on last night and they fit!!!! I celebrated by getting on the elliptical for 30 min!

    2 years!

Just wanted to say congrats on your journey, we have similar stats. And I would be totally happy to just be right where you are, that's 40 more for me to go. I like your approach to things, you have a very realistic view. You give me hope!
  14. I struggle with head hunger and the drive to exercise, but so far have been doing well with that the past few weeks. Oh and water intake.
  15. I am also 5 months out and its been falling out for the past month, I have noticed this past week its slowed down. Now I have a ton of hair but I do notice a difference when I pull it back that the ponytail holder has to be wrapped around an extra turn. I get about 5-10 extra hairs everytime I brush my hair or run my fingers through. I have not taken biotin because I have heard mixed reviews, my hair grows exceptionally fast so I figure I will get it back and so far I am not balding!!! There is a volume loss. I am taking all of my other vitamins though
  16. So I am right at the 5 month mark and today the scale just dropped 2 pounds to an official 50! Its been a long road but I have never felt better. My loss has been slow but steady so I know I am doing something right, my exercise has suffered the last month so time to get back on the horse!! SW 265 CW 215
  17. Mine showed up early! So not only can you skip one you can have more than one!!! Ugh
  18. I had 6 month diet too. Had to go once every month and the final one was after the 6 month period so techinically 7 months. My surgeons office was very familiar about my insurance and what they required I followed everything to a tee. I also couldn't lose any weight or would drop below 40 BMI and my ins requires 40. I even called my ins before starting to make sure I was on the right track

  20. Don't for get to mark it in MFP because vodka has calories!!
  21. I just do about half a shot of vodka and fill the rest of the glass with crystal light that has been made with water and ice of course! If I do it that way and nurse it, over the course of the evening and then I don't get too buzzed. I usually only partake once every couple weeks with girlfriends.
  22. Vodka and crystal light, I like the pomegranate kind. And yes my tolerance is way lower than before so I am a cheap date!!
  23. I am a die hard unjury fan, I am almost 5 months out and still do a morning shake with unjury. I love it. the unflavored is great and so is chocolate splender.
  24. Nov 5 was my 3 month my SW(also my highest) was 265 as of today I am 220, so 45lbs down total.
