  1. I am 8 1/2 months out and getting close to my goal weight and my girls have disappeared! The crazy thing is I had 2 reductions in my pre-sleeve life because they were so large, and now I'm seriously thinking implants once I'm a year at my goal. Will you have to ever have them redone or is it a one time thing? Congrats on yours!

    ANY APRIL SURGERIES?....

Lol, I was testing the waters with my stomach. But, didn't feel a need to have any more. I was sleeved April 1st.

I like Pure Protein banana cream and chocolate. 35g protein, 1g sugar, from amazon, target, and Walmart.

    ANY APRIL SURGERIES?....

Ya know, I agree, it is hard to calculate. My shake has 35 G protein, so I still drink that for Breakfast and assume the small portions of protein for lunch and dinner are enough. Not the best answer, but that's what I do.

    ANY APRIL SURGERIES?....

I haven't tried any fish yet, chicken has been good, oh I did eat 1 fish finger with some ketchup, and it was amazing, lol. Before I would have had 12 fish fingers. Today I had some of the roast beef off an Arby's sandwich, and that was really nice too. Just chewed very well. It's very thin moist and easy to eat.

    Sleeved April 1st

Keep up the good work with the walking! 8 miles! That's awesome you are having great success, I'm so happy for you. I bet you can really tell with your clothes and body changing, my husband comments constantly and I'm only down 12 pounds so far. It's funny when you were talking about what you used to eat compared to now, and your totally right! I was thinking about that too! I'm so glad half my stomach is gone and I don't have all that ghrelin hormone telling me to eat anymore best wishes

    ANY APRIL SURGERIES?....

I was sleeved on the first and am doing really well. I was back to work yesterday and its going fine (2weeks off). Eating mushies, so refried beans, puréed soups, applesauce, puréed meat, cottage cheese and scrambled eggs. I'm still drinking a protein shake every day to help get my protein. Sw: 224, cw: 211, but mostly I can tell in my clothes and better sleep. My husband says I haven't been snoring! Yay

    Sleeved April 1st

You're lucky you didn't get a drain, man I'm glad that's out! Lol! Had it removed on Monday at my 1 week postop. Now I'm eating mushies and found that I'm not that fond of scrambled eggs anymore and I use to eat 2 eggs almost every day. I found a tip on Pinterest to put cottage cheese in the scrambled eggs and voila, I love them ago, just in a very small quantity, lol. My shoulder pain is gone, yay, and really the only pain is the occasional pain from the incision the stomach came out of. Feels like a very sore muscle. I've started walking on my elliptical for 30 min a day, which helps with my energy. I'm going bak to work on Monday. How are you doing now? Sw 224, cw 211

    Sleeved April 1st

I was sleeved on the first too, yay! For me the incision pain is tolerable, but the left shoulder pain, omg!!!! I don't think I have ever felt such an intense pain before, it literally takes my breath away. Monday I go get my drain out and see the surgeon, and hopefully the shoulder pain will be gone, otherwise ill have to get some advise from him. Did any of you experience this? Otherwise getting goal amounts of fluid and protein. SW 224, CW 215.

    ANY APRIL SURGERIES?....

The actual procedure is around 1 1/2 to 2 hour, buy you'd be in the OR for around 3 hours for all the prep work and stabilizing your breathing and sedating you. Then you go to PACE for like 1 to 2 hours to recover from anesthesia, then up to your room . Hope that helps.

    ANY APRIL SURGERIES?....

Thank you, and good luck to you. I just wanted to share a suggestion for sleevers, your throat gets really sore from the tube and if they leave an NG tube in to suck blood out of your stomach over night. I requested a chloroseptic spray for my throat and they approved it and brought some in. Ahhh momentarily relief, lol. Now back to sleep. Zzzzz

    ANY APRIL SURGERIES?....

I'm officially on the other side, everything has been so quick and easy. I let the anesthesiologist know I've has problems with post op nausea in the past and he took really good care of me and I haven't has any. I've got a dilaudid PCA and it works terrifically! Just once or tonight then ill walk more tomorrow, get the ng tube from my nose, and do my leak test. Wish me luck

    Post op march sleevers

Great idea with the unflavored in crystal light. Unjury has an unflavored one. I got their chicken soup one, but am planning to get the unflavored one.

    ANY APRIL SURGERIES?....

Even though my surgery is this coming Monday, I've been waiting on approval and I just got word from my coordinator.... APPROVED!!!! It finally feels real. I had been scared to get my hopes up because I've had such a hard time with insurance, and after countless hours of the phone, special requests from my PCP, changing hospitals and surgeon, all the fighting is over. Whew, it's really happening good luck to everyone and especially anyone struggling with insurance.

    ANY APRIL SURGERIES?....

That's FANTASTIC!!! My PCP required me to have an EKG before she would clear me. Of course it was normal, but she said it was her personal thing that makes her test everyone. Her husband has a 2 vessel clog in his heart that they found preop for knee surgery, sooooo, she tests everyone now. Sara submitted my stuff on Wednesday. I can't wait to be doing the happy dance and people looking at me like I'm crazy too. :-)
