  2. I'm 3 weeks out and had similar pain still every now and then or when I take a deep breath. The PA said that's normal esp from ur largest incision where your stomach was removed. :-). Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Band or Sleeve?

In 2010 I had the band and lost about 100 pounds....but it caused me horrible reflux and pain all the time. I developed esophagitis multiple times and sometimes went weeks unable to eat d/t the swelling. Finally in 2011 the band slipped...I almost died, was 22 weeks pregnant and has to have it removed. I ended up having to regain all my weight and finally got the sleeve this past January 14th (2 weeks ago). In retrospect I too believed the band would be safer being that it was reversible, but it was a mistake. I wish I had gotten the sleeve from jump street. During my revision I bled out the doctor told me from all the scar tissue and mess the band left behind. in my honest opinion I would go with your gut instinct. Best of luck with whatever u choose and please message me with any questions u may have. :-) Vicki Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Question....

Well they finally now called me back and have me a f/u appt for next Thursday. Honestly with all the run around I'm getting with the office i would have to not recommend this practice. You can't just cut someone open, remove an organ and not follow up that's just crazy. I mean if u are gonna wham bam thank u ma'am me at least buy me dinner first!! Anyways the assistant who called said the doctor relayed to her that it is ok to have my pcp remove this retched thing from me. Sigh.. Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Question....

I've called several times and today every 2 hours so far. This is bs and they will give me some answers. I mean this is just ridiculous . I swear whomever receives the calls are totally clueless! Sent from my iPhone using VST

  14. How soon after surgery did u receive f/u care? My sleeve was on 1/14 (last Monday) and repeat sx on 1/16 to correct hernia d/t bleeding....and no word still from my docs office even though I keep calling trying to get some sort of info. I was sent home with a drain also which has subsequently stopped having output and needs to come out? I'm getting really irate and feel that their lack of follow up is totally negligent! I may be hormonal and just crying out in pain so I need some input please.... Sent from my iPhone using VST
