I've managed to get off track. I've gained 15-20 pounds back after reaching my goal (lost 100 lbs) because of stress and boredom eating - eating tons of simple carbs and drinking calories.
So today, I'm publicly recommitting to going back to the basics. This week, I've already given up the caloric drinks and started back exercising. The last step is getting back to smaller meals consisting primarily of Protein and dealing with stress in other ways.
I'm proud of myself for catching it before gaining too much weight. If anyone else is in the same boat, join me in recommitting to looking and feeling fabulous.

I am getting so excited for my revision! This last 2 years without my Lapband after having it for 6 years has been so difficult! I'm on a constant diet with no results. I know the sleeve will still be hard work, but I can't wait to see some results! I got used to my smaller weight after losing with the band and now I feel like Gwyneth Paltrow in Shallow Hal since I regained it! Time to unzip this fat suit! Any other Tijuana sleeves happening on the 15th?

What type of post op diet were you on? It seems crazy that anyone can gain the first month of liquids. The calorie amounts are so low it just doesnt seem possible! I hope they can get to the bottom of this for you! So sorry you are struggling!

The shuttle in and out of MX is the OCC van, but between the OCC and hotel is Marriott shuttles. I brought only one carry on bag since I'm traveling alone, so I didn't bring much extra stuff. Definitely chapstick, Gas X, slippers for walking the halls at OCC. Lotion is good to since I feel dried out after anesthesia. The hotel has plenty of broth and Water, but you may want to bring crystal light or other water flavoring. Be prepared to make a trip to Walmart while you are here to get a little variety with Clear Liquids. I'm getting pretty bored with broth, so the yogurt has been a nice change. The pain meds are supradol, which is the equivalent of torradol. It's not a narcotic, but I think it's done well to cut the pain down. I was sore for the first 3 days, but it never was "painful". The antibiotic is so sweet, btw! It tastes like strawberry pancake Syrup. My kids would probably beg for it, but it's a little too sweet for me! And you have to take 4 syringes full per day! 20ml... The antinausea and pain med go under your tongue. Some people were swallowing them, but I don't think it was as effective.

I had my surgery on the 15th and it went better than I had hoped! The rooms at the surgery center smell like lavender and they play spa music. Very relaxing! I did have a small panic attack when it took the nurse 4 tries to get the IV in, but once it was in, everything went smoothly. I was pretty dizzy right after I woke up after surgery. I had to pee, and the nurse had to hold me up to get me to the restroom since I was weak kneed and dizzy. That went away pretty quickly, though. So I suggest taking a potty break prior to getting your IV placed. My gas pains weren't terrible, and I really think walking and gasx helped with that. The marriott is really nice and the chicken broth is homemade and tastes amazing! I started on activia drinkable yogurt yesterday that I picked up at Walmart up the street. I haven't been able to find G2 gatorade here, but I picked up some coconut and pina colada flavored mexican version of pedialyte. I also found a GNC right next to Walmart that had Isopure grape and alpine punch, so I have been trying to get that down for some Protein. They are pretty nasty, though! I haven't really been hungry, but the head hunger is starting to kick in! I had the barium swallow yesterday and there was no sign of a leak. I also got my drain removed which was a huge relief! I was starting to have some intestinal cramping and a strange pain on the right side, but it went away immediately when the drain tube was pulled out. So, I am still here tonight, then one night in San Diego before I finally fly home Monday morning. I have very little pain and plenty of energy, so overall, I'm feeling better than I expected! I also met some wonderful people from all over that were having surgery around my same date, so traveling alone hasn't been an issue at all. The shuttles back and forth between the surgery center and hotel have gone very smoothly too! Good luck to all the upcoming surgeries! I hope you all have an easy time too! :-)

I was doing light cleaning 2 days after surgery. Nothing strenuous -- but I dusted, vacuumed ( I have dogs too), swept the kitchen floor. I was very lucky....I had absolutely no pain other just a little soreness.

How soon did you sweep your floors? I have 3 kids and a black lab and I'm going crazy with these dirty floors. iI feel great and have plenty of energy, but I'm scared to over do it this early! I wish I could just let it go for awhile, but its really starting to make me crazy!

I haven't had my surgery yet, but what has kept me on track to lose the preop weight is logging on My Fitness Pal. I usually plan my day by logging in what I plan to have for the day. That way it breaks down the nutritional info for me. If my calories or carbs are way over, or Protein is way under, then I can make adjustments. It requires some planning and a little work, but it has shocked me to see which foods are causing me to sabotage my weightloss. It will also allow for you to be able to add in some "treats" when you are under the max calories or carbs. There is a lot of people on there that have been sleeved and they are super supportive! Also, finding recipes to make healthier versions of things you like might be a good way to keep the head hunger away. These are all the things I've got lined up to keep me on track after my surgery in 10 days! Best of luck to you and remember tomorrow is a new day and a chance to begin again! You can be successful if you allow yourself to be! :-)

Y'all will LOVE Dr Ortiz and will be very impressed with OCC. I certainly was.
I felt so taken care of and everything was very smooth. I loved the Marriott - the bed was so amazingly comfy! Actually, the hospital bed was actually very comfortable too!
I had a bit of nausea the day AFTER surgery, but that's it. I spent most of that day in bed, relaxing, napping and watching TV. Woke up on Day 2 and the nausea was gone and it hasn't returned.
Now, Day 4 post-op, I can barely even tell I've had surgery (other than not being hungry!! ).
