My name is Jen, I am a little late in writing my intro but here it goes. I have been overweight my entire life and I finally hit bottom this last year or so. I had my son 2 years ago and he is the biggest blessing ever but my weight pretty much just kept climbing since he's been born. I had been a smoker since I was 16 y/o and with my weight coming to an all-time high I was not in good shape. I went into the hospital for breathing problems when my son was 8 months old and within the next year I got sick 2 more times, one of which kept me out of work for a month. It is time for me to get serious about providing a healthy and active lifestyle for my son and myself! My husband and I quit smoking on October 8th (in preparation for surgery), I used chantix and it worked very well for me. I have to say, I was pretty shocked when my breathing didn't improve and disappointed at where I had let myself get to weight-wise. I had surgery on December 11th and am 5 weeks out now, I am already feeling so much better physically and mentally than I was before surgery. I have been given hope for the year to come and all that I will be able to do as I lose this weight. I am enjoying the changes I have had and looking forward to many more. I know that I have made the best decision for my family and me!
