Do you ever just get weary?

Yes I know exactly how you feel. (I think) I get tired, sometimes, of always having to be aware. I would love to be able to sit down and eat dinner and when I am done have it still be hot. I cannot remember the last time I had a hot meal, for the entire thing. I start with a hot meal but it usually cold by the time I am done. I think it just gets to me sometimes. For the most part I am happy with my band I just get a little fed up at times.

Good luck. Going through an un-fill stinks. Hope all is well with your band.

    Self defence?

How about a can of pepper/mace instead of the deodorant. One squirt stops a person dead in their tracks and doesn't cause permanent damage. Just something until you can take a defense class.

Are they heavy? Could they be worn under a uniform?

    What to do?

Oh my god what a decision. I tried to put myself in your place...what would I do? I guess I would come here and ask for support. I think that anything that you do will be successful. You have helped so many here and have supported so many, you will make the best decision for you. You know that you can do it with the band,do you fell you need to do something different? I know that sometimes something new is successful because I haven't done it before. Good Luck in making your decision.

To be banded 8/21 Emotional wreck

I understand exactly where you are coming from. I was scheduled, had something else medically come up and had to cancel. I was relieved in a way, now I wish that I had had it sooner. I am very happy with my loss to date. You should be sure that this is what you want to do, although it can be reversed it is meant to be permanent and you need to look at it as a permanent lifestyle change. Good luck in what ever you decide to do.

Your new pictures are amazing. Makes me want to run out and get one. You look amazing and so thin. Hopefully I'll get to that point one day.

I may have gall baldder troubles.

Good luck. I had many of the same problems that you did. Had the HIDA scan and found that the gallbladder wasn't functioning properly. Had it out and feel great no pain.

help me get back on track!!

I would get on the scale. It might make you realize that we have to work with the band. Whenever I go off I get on the scale to bring me back to reality. It might upset you but it might also kick you in the but.

    Exercise and Excess Skin

I am interested in the responses you get. I am wondering the same thing. I have a bit of excess skin, not as bad as I thought. The inner thighs are a bit scary.

    Can you chug down water?

I have a small fill. It depends on the day as to whether or not I can chug. Today yes, yesterday no way came right back up. I try it slow at first and then gage how it feels.

    Help

I can understand the ice cream problem. I have had to keep it out of the house. For the first 9 months it didn't matter that it was here but now I have to eat it if it's in the house. I bought a bunch of sugar free pops. I know they aren't the same but they help. I bet getting a fill will help a lot. Good luck.
  18. I told my job nothing. I took a couple of days and prayed that I would be ready to go back. I have a pretty active job. I had surgery on Tuesday and was back at work on Saturday. No one knew except my friend who was getting ready to do the same thing. I had no problems and no one knew. I was always on a diet so it wasn't obvious that I was doing anything different. When someone did notice that I was losing I told them I was following a south beach like diet and exercising.

I have been having great luck with the Nexium lately. No real problems at all. The scale has started moving again. Hopefully this does the trick.

    Fill too Tight?

I had the same problem after my second fill. I was OK for the first couple of weeks then slimming and then I got to the point that I could only get liquids down. I was too tight. Don't let it get to that point. On the other hand are you drinking something warm before your meal? Small bites? And Chewing about 30 times? If you are doing all of those things you could be too tight and I would try a bit of an unfill. Good luck.

    Nexium not working

Things are great. The nexium kicked in. I have been able to have a cup of coffee in the morning but am not going to try any more than that. I was able to get a small fill, finally .2cc so far so good. Thank you so much for asking.
  24. Can someone explain what (exactly) esophagus dis motility means? I recently posted something very similar on the fill area. I am still a bit confused. How and can it repair itself? It's a little scary to think that this can lead to removal of the band. Also how do they test for it?
