  1. I am almost 4 weeks post op and I haven't lost anything since 8 August. The scale has fluctuated between 202 and 204 since 8 August. It is very frustrating and discouraging to say the least. I started at 216, so to only lose 12 pound the first month is certainly not what I expected......I am feeling very down with this....

    constipation

Never been constipated like this before......This is truly the worst part of this for me....I am only 3 weeks post op......Has anyone tried enemas....I heard an oil based enema will get you going...IDK.....gotta do something......I haven't tried the miralax or MOM...maybe I'll try today....I take two Fibercons a day and that is not even helping a little....Took 4 this morning......hmmmm, we will see........ugggghhh
  4. Everyone is different....I did 2 Protein shakes during the day and had a Churches chicken Thigh and a pepper for dinner EVERY SINGLE DAY leading up to my surgery to include the night before....Well, the night before I had 2.....Don't kill yourself...I would have been screwed if they told me NOTHING but Protein Shakes....
  5. I cook dinner for my son and hubby every night....I can fix from fried pork chops to fried fish and fries.....spaghetti and garlic bread, oven fried wings and all...It doesn't bother me as much as I thought......I know they didn't choose this, I did. My hubby is 6ft and 170....he's gained 9lbs in over 20 years....My son is active so I like to feed him a good meal too....If I don't cook, they will go out to eat and I don't want them doing that....I cook with olive oil and coconut oil....I use wheat noodles and I try to be a bit healthier than McDonalds...not that it makes a huge difference but it does kind of.
  6. I guess every doc is different because I am 2 weeks post op and I came home from the hospital on day 3 eating cream of wheat, cream soups, puddings etc....as a matter of fact, they gave it to me on the hosp....Today was my 2 week follow up and I am off of food restrictions....just eat when hungry, eat til full, chew, chew, chew and hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.....I tried puree and could not handle that....10 days post op, I tried the string cheese....I haven't been nausea once.....

    November Sleevesters?

I just got sleeved yesterday afternoon. No appetite what so ever. I go home tomorrow. I was walking around about 2 hours after recovery. Very little gas and almost no pain and very little nasea. No dizziness. I didn't drink anything yesterday but i have drank 2 20 bottles of water with crystal light. I do feel how week my bod is though. AAnd my discharge paperwork says liquid diet and if I don;t feel satisfied cream soups. It says if it will go threw a straw you can have it...funny though cause they won't even let you use a straw....but I get it....

    Great Protein Shakes

Are you near a military base? I found it for $3
  21. I was a self pay here in Texas. I paid the doctor, hospital and anesthesia separate. The hospital was $9250 for 1-3 days. Based on that wouldn't you want to stay the whole three days?
