  1. First I would like to say "Everything IS alright and everything WILL be alright!!!

    Don't beat yourself up

First thing to fixing any problem is "acknowledgement" and you got that part out the way and now that you know you have falling a little off track we will simply get back up dust yourself off and try again "greatness is never to late"!! you know the format to success so lets start back over on the basics "Rome was not built overnight" we can work together to get back on track "you do better when you know better" when you get back on track you will be an inspiration to other because you have gone down that path and hopefully you will prevent others from traveling that same rode "everything happens for a reason. So with that said THE BASICS awaits you 1200 calories a day of "soft food" preferably "healthy choices" meat and vegetables YES!! lets count calories how fun -_- "I think" (lol) also if you have tossed out the Protein Shakes lets get back to those twice a day your body has the format and tools its just time you reinforce it!!!! No one is a failure here in "GEORGIA PEACHES " this is a forum of hope, support , encouragement and help!!!

    FELLOW SLEEVER

YOU CAN DO THIS BECAUSE YOU'VE DONE IT BEFORE I BELIEVE IN YOU!!! :) :)

    BEST WISHES,

  2. I saw my dr and nut at 3 weeks. I told the nut I was hungry all the time and she said I could start a regular diet. She thought the puree was not satisfying my hunger. She said I am healed and can have whatever I want' date=' including breads, Pasta, and rice. I told my dr I was having light headedness and felt sleepy, esp when driving on the freeway. She told me to try going back on coffee with caffeine. So, both suggestions, to resolve hunger and the head symptoms, have made a huge difference. Granted, it takes me an hour to drink a cup of coffee and 2 bites of chicken and I am stuffed but, I still drink pro. shakes and feel the reg. food is more of a supplement because I eat so little. I was wondering if anyone else is on a regular diet yet and how it is going.[/quote']

Im on a regular food diet I eat pretty much what I can handle I eat mostly food that has a soft consistency, I also get full quickly. I no longer drink Protein shakes however I do get the required Protein from other sources, everything is healing really well with an exception of a little aches and pains every now and then but ultimately I'm doing great!!! Hope this helped a bit.

  3. "Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best and expect only the best.

To be enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, to strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble."

  4. Well this morning at 4am I wasn't feeling my norm I was hurting in places that concerned me not to mention my right leg felt like it was heavier then usual and numb so my husband thought that we should go to the emergency room' while on the way there I was freaking out considering the worse blood clots, leaks, dehydration, fluid around my lungs you name it' but my husband quickly grabbed my hands and said a little prayer and off to the ER we went! Low and behold EVERYTHING WAS FINE BLOOD WORK AND ALL!!!! I was for certain that I wasn't getting enough food or liquids in so I thought "dehydration" at the least but NOTHING Dr said that my labs all look perfect, I'M so happy and blessed that everything is fine' Thank you God for your many blessing!!

  5. I have been here in the hospital receiving excellent care for a week. I am doing my very best to remain positive. But I admit I have my moments of regret' date=' primarily because I can't care for my 14 month of daughter. Mind posting some BEFORE AND AFTER photos as a reminder and source of inspiration?

    Best,

    Sannah[/quote']

Don't think that's its only cliche' when others say that "It gets better one day at a time" because it really does.God Bless and I'm wishing you a fast recovery.

  6. Hi all - I have been taking some hydrocodone (5/325) over the last month for some chronic back pain that developed a long time ago and has increased recently post surgery. There may also be something else going on with my back (ala the movie 50/50) that I am scheduled to get looked at next month by a specialist.

I try not to take it unless the pain is bad' date=' but have been increasing the dose to several times a day when I am unable to tolerate the pain. Please do not judge me for increasing the dose on my own. I know it is not the right thing to do. After fearing I was getting addicted to it only after a month of use, I got rid of the remainder of my prescription 2 days ago because the last thing I need is a dependence on it. Today I woke up with the wore case of total body soreness, like having a flu without all the flu symptoms. Is this normal from stopping pain meds cold turkey? How long does it take for your body to be clean of the hydrocodone after taking 10-20 mg a day for back issues?

By the way, Tylenol does not work and I am now about to take an anti inflammatory next month( already have the prescription ready to use). Next month, my surgeon said I could start on a slow release anti inflammatory as it is my 6 month post op. the name of the prescription is Etodolac and it will be my first time on it. I used diclofenac pre surgery for several years, but it is too rough on the sleeve (according to the surgeon) to use any longer.

    Thanks for your advice.[/quote']

It took me a week 1/2 to get it out of my system and boy! I'm happy!!! I now use a treatment called radio frequency where the Dr will use a laser to burned the nerve that's troubling you,its works for me it will last about 9months try to research some alternatives loratab/hydro is just not good for the body most of all your brain research the damage that it does to your brain. In any case do what's best for you that's all that matters.

  7. I feel a little better I'm still a little sore but that's to be expected, I did some christmas shopping yesterday all while feeling like my stomach was going to burst but who knew that all the walking would relive gas pain and buildup.I'm 5 days out and im trying to get my fluids down but it feels like bumbles of indigestion every time I swallow "anything" its a very uncomfortable feeling. How small of a SIP are you suppose to drink? Is it my SIP portions that's causing this? Or maybe my sleeve is still too swollen to process anything? Have anyone else felt like this?

  8. Weightless-Beauty, I hope you are doing much better than before. You've got this and each day will bring you closer to victory. Just think, in the next few months we will all be forces to be reckoned with. Look out world, The VSG DIVAS are in the building....2013 and thereafter is our time to shine brighter than ever......Let's put our game faces on and do this! Who's with me?

  9. I had my pre-op class today and it definitely made me feel a little out of place. My BMI is 37' date=' so I am overweight, but the other people in the class were REALLY overweight. I know I am making the right decision for myself but definitely had my first set of "am I really doing the right thing?" feelings. Anyone else have the same experience? I almost feel kind of silly for having the surgery.[/quote']

I felt that way as well even had some people telling me that I didn't need to lose weight it bothered me at first but ultimately it was me that I had to worry about, I had underlined health issue that noone knew about and at the end of the day it was ME that mattered SO I did what I had to do to be a healthier me!!!

  10. I was sleeved on the 18th of December I will be leaving the hospital today # Im hoping# The first night was extremely painful I mean it was unbearable and the nurse staff couldn't seem to find an antidote for my pain I didn't get "a pain pump inserted either" ???why I don't know?? but my

Dr decided to give me "Ketorolac" and Lorazapam seeing that the morphine didn't glad that this combination worked I'm feeling great #I know this is a bit of T.M.I.but I can't seem to "pass gas" my Dr keeps telling me that I have to, its just not happening...' oh well now I'm just waiting to be released by my Dr because I'm ready to go home now!
