Me too! I was just 4 weeks yesterday and ate some chicken curry and rice for dinner. I too then looked at my husband and said 'look at me. Eating like a normal human being!' I have so much more energy now too.
    Keep it up.

I was sleeved October 3rd. I'm down 25 pounds plus 10 pounds from the pre-op diet. I had a couple of days of bad eating, but I'm back on track! I actually gained about 2 pounds, so now I'm down to my 35 pound weight loss. My new favorite lunch is 3 oz deli turkey and one slice laughing cow light Swiss cheese. I bring that for lunch to work everyday. I made some crustless ham and cheese quiches that I bring for Breakfast. I eat 2-4 of them. They are about 40 calories a piece. I'm aiming for 600 calories, but sometimes I don't make it. I do try though!
I really feel like this is one of the best decisions I've ever made!

I am also in a very 'business eating' work environment, I do Mortgages, and very often take Realtors and clients out. I haven't had to face it much yet, as I'm only one month out, but I have found the same sentiments that are echoed throughout this thread to be true. No one really notices how much I do or don't eat since they themselves are focused on their own eating. As the holidays are getting close, I plan to get through Holiday parties by nominating myself as the DD< so I can pass on alcohol withoout many side glances, I had a business luncheon today with my womens group, had french onion Soup with no bread in it and light cheese, the cheese sank to the bottom where it sat. I ordered an entree which I silently slipped into a box and took to my father, and for dessert I ordered took a few small bites and sent the rest back, no one even blinked about it. The I'm not feeling well, I just had a big breakfast/lunch have seemed to work fine if anyone does inquire. Also, with the New Year coming around, it would be easy to tell people that you are doing a strict diet for New Years, few people question strong New Years convictions! Good luck to you!

Not a vet.. only 7 months out... If you know where you are going in advance, look at the menu online. Most resturants post nut value and calories online. It is comforting to know what I am going to order before I get there. Some people in my life know about the surgery and some dont. When eating with someone who doesnt know I order a meal. No one has ever noticed how little I eat. They are busy shoveling down their food. People do notice if I dont at least order a Water to drink so I order a water and just dont drink it. If I go to a food day at work I carry around a plate of food. It prevents any questions and no one notices that I dont eat it. You will find food pushers..even when people know about the wls. Having something on your plate prevents the coments and constant "oh..you shoud really try this" or "you should just have a little". I dont usuaaly say that I am on a diet but I say that I had a late lunch or something. Hope this helps!

    Wow this is amazing progress
I've only lost 30 lbs in 42 days so far - havent' really started hitting the gym - just jogs and walks as I wasn't feeling good the first weeks
I've dropped jeans sizes but feel sad about the belly fat.. this looks stubborn and harder to get rid off !
I should start hitting the gym seriously this week

3 months ago today I made the best decision in my entire life! I use to weigh 240 and so unhappy with how I looked in my clothes and especially naked! Lol I use to give myself a look of disgust when I glanced at myself in the mirror while in the nude! Now I look amazing!! And I feel even better!!

my NUT said the best thing about this surgery is that you never have to count calories again. Make sure you get 60+ g of Protein in and just keep sugars and fats low. No more counting calories. WOOHOO
I know there is not much room for more calories anyway!

I'm wondering about the wrinkles I don't even know I have because they are all fluffed up and spread out with extra face fat. I'm afraid I'll look like a rumpled paper bag.

Mine was an inspirtation. A friend of mine (and past diet buddy) ran the NY Marathon. She had been around the same weight as I was and had bypass surgery about four years ago. I had always marveled at her weight loss, and even met with her several times to discuss the surgery. I kept thinking I would try to do it on my own, rather than undergo something so drastic. Well now, here I was at my highest weight ever, feeling tired, disgusting and miserable, and there she was running a MARATHON!! That was when I decided I had put my life on hold long enough and immediately started steps to get the surgery. It took me nine months from that decision to the actual proceedure, but now I am finally on my way to being a happy healthy person like she is. I do not really see the NY marathon in my future (I hate to run and always have, even when I was thin) but who knows. Either way, I know now that the future now looks bright for me and I will have my own "marathon" moments as a new, healthier, lighter me!

I wouldn't until your nut/dr. instructs you to. Puree stage didn't start for me until day 19 post-op, yesterday and it was harder than I thought. A poached egg with a sprinkle of cheese was like an entire diner breakfast! (love that!) but I tried to eat a slice of roast beef about the size of a dime-chew, chew, chew. Delicious, but I got scared so stopped (pureed meat is gross, thought I could chew long enough to get it to that consistency-afraid I wasn't chewing well enough before swallowing!) Second try, some Peanut Butter. Again, it felt wierd in tummy, away with te OB! Third try...ricotta cheese with black pepper - 2 tsps. and I was stuffed. So much for my first pureed dinner! A tiny bite of roast beef, about 2 tsps. Peanut Butter and ricotta cheese! Don't be in a rush to get here, it's still not easy (like anything worth having is?)! Good luck!

It was so nice to go to Dress Barn and shop the other side. I need a long sweat her for a snug but sexy size 12 Ann Taylor skirt!!! Shopping out of the plus side and knowing I am free from it for life and never have to diet again is the best feeling
Just a week and a half I am loving my sleeve! I let me have frozen yogurt that I love and it was a 1/4 of what I normally ate. Plus it wasn't covered in Gummy bears Reese's pieces and coconut!! I learned to change.
