Hey i am in the middle of doing my check list i need done... and i have the last of all the appointments scheduled this week and next week.... but the only thing i am confussed about is the last check list which ask "Letter Of Support from your family MD." Now is this the same as a referral request? she did write me a referral reguest to another surgeons office but those surgeons no longer take medicaid so they told me to call this other hospital close by and i have been working with them ever sense. so they said they need the check list to send into the insurance company. so will this referral request do as a letter of support and also work with another hospital name on it? i mean the insurance can see that obviously my pcp wanted me to get surgery done with a referral request.

My sleep apnea is considered mild but' date=' regardless, the question of whether or not to proceed with the surgery given my having the condition never even came up except to laud the surgery as a potential cure since excess weight is usually part of the cause. Had my surgery 1 week ago and have only used my CPAP once since it felt a little strange (hard to explain). May have to get an adjustment but I'm going to give it some time before I go back to my sleep specialist. Good luck with everything![/quote']

Actually your answers helped me out ALOT!...are you on a Cpap mizzz Bunnny? And if so what pressure... they had me on 19 at my sleep study.

I just had my sleep study done last week and I got my results back and they diagnos to me with severe sleep apnea. I went 53 seconds without breathing at one point. Anyways so my question was for anyone that has had severe sleep apnea would your surgeon perform surgery on you to get the sleeve or no or were they to scared too?

I just want to wear underwear that doesnt have to be folded when doing laundry. My kids fold them like they are damn towels

Alicia and geekgamergirl... I too am in the process of trying to get sleeved. I have Medicaid insurance so I have a check list I have to complete. I had to go to a weight loss seminar which I did on Wednesday.

Dr. Bautista, at St. Mary's hospital was the speaker that night so he is who I am going to use as well. I see them Nov 1st. Then I have my phyic evaluation Nov 15th. And I don't know when my nutritionist appointment is. Dr Bautista secretary has to make that after I see them on Nov 1st I guess. Then they will turn my stuff into insurance. I am 320 pounds. I am married with three kids and I live near Fredericksburg Virginia. And geekygamergirl I am a girlgamer as well. Call of duty baby!!!! Lol wishing u lots of luck Alicia on ur surgery on the 31st!!! and geeky I am so happy you finally lost enough weight to get ur surgery. High fives all around.... now it's my turn for the waiting game
