greensleeve reacted to michellew1 in three pairs of pants....
Congrats! I bet that is a wonderful feeling. I have lots of clothing that I cannot wait to get back into. I know this sounds silly but I still have the outfit that I wore on mine and my husbands first date 15 years ago. That is my motivation. I am getting back into that outfit. I am currently a size 5X. The outfit is a size 10. Maybe next summer?

greensleeve got a reaction from MRhynard11 in three pairs of pants....
I have three pairs of pants that are almost identical, in size 22, 18, and 16. I just realized this. I haven't been able to wear the 16 in three years. Now they fit but with muffin top.

greensleeve reacted to ziggypbang in I thought I was (fill in the blank), but really, I was just fat.
I thought I was a pleasantly plump, jolly woman. Turns out I was just a fat pushover terrified of being called a fat "b%$ch.". Well, you can call me b%$ch now, baby, cause this girl's almost skinny!

greensleeve got a reaction from dawalsh in Coffee
I have coffee every morning and I'm considering adding a cup around dinner time. By the time I'm home from work I'm exhausted.
I used to drink soda a lot so that kept me going. Well now I am yawning by five no matter what I eat, how much sleep I get, or how much Water I drink.
I feel like I'm useless to my family in the evenings.

greensleeve got a reaction from msfitn2014 in YouTube videos
This isn't really a rant, but does anyone else watch the WLS videos of people on you tube?
Some are so inspirational and some I just want to cheer for the person.
But I have noticed that a lot of the people talk the same. They don't start out that way, but by the time they get to losing a good bit of weight, it's like they all watch each others videos and end up imitating each other.
It's kind of funny!

greensleeve reacted to music1618 in My 2 year anniversary
Well today is my 2 year anniversary and I am so happy I did this!! It has been such a wonderful experience and I keep learning everyday.
All dreams have been possible and many have been achieved. My newest is to become a triathlete in October! I am so excited for the challenge.
If you are struggling or brand new - this is worth it and you can do it!!!
I started at 256 in a size 22. I currently weight 135 and a size 2.

I was told no carbonated drinks ever. It stretches out your sleeve.

i belong to the JCC (like the Y), but mine has a private spa. for 10$ you can get a pass. so we (my girls) all went to a yoga class, then did the hot tub, sauna, and steam room. then went to the lounge and hung out and had tea, coffee and chocolate. spent the afternoon together, yakked and laughed and had a great time. next year wr are going indoor rock climbing. (my birthday is in jan)
one of our girls is moving this summer, we are going to pay someone to come give us all foot massages and someone to do tarot readings. it will still cost us less than dinner out would. and we get to spend time together and yak and hang out.

I agree with all of the above. It is a medical necessity for you to have what you need and they would have a lawsuit on their hands if anything happens to you while you are there...the medical note should suffice and you bring what you need. I did Disney World Theme Parks and they were very accommodating right down to letting me order off the children's menu-no questions asked.

My tip for smuggling in food, at least for women - put it in an interior zipper compartment of your bag. Put a couple of tampons and sanitary pads on top. No one is going to rummage past those! And I've noticed that most places are a lot more lax these days about searching handbags than they were ten years ago, when everyone seemed convinced that Al Qaeda was going to try to blow up their local concert in the park.

Good ideas everyone. This place had hot dogs but I just don't like those kind. I can do turkey dogs or all beef but nasty park hotdogs don't sit well.
Bringing Protein powder is a good idea.

greensleeve reacted to jacileggs in How about some NSVs!?!?
We have a shower tub in our main bathroom. It's quite short. My tummy has never fit under the Water. Until today. Best day ever so far!

greensleeve got a reaction from Ima Fox in Regional St. Louis Information
My surgeon gives everyone a card that says something like "this person had bariatric surgery and has a stomach the size of a baby carrot. Please allow him or her to order off the child's menu."
And it has all the info about the hospital to make it look official.

greensleeve got a reaction from Sparklingbeauty53 in What is your dream job?
I've been thinking about writing a book after I hit goal. I was raised in an abusive family and had an abusive marriage unfortunately. I just don't know if a book is enough! I don't know if I'm willing to put myself out there, you know?

I really wish I could work with people who have been abused and are overweight or obese, and help them get their power and self esteem back.

greensleeve got a reaction from Dexter1118 in lots of NSVs
Today I went to a small Water park. I didn't feel tired the entire time. I actually fit in the inner tube. I was able to walk up and down stairs and didn't feel tired at all.
The suit I had last summer was super loose. I need a new one. I could really tell my chest has shrunk. When I got out of the water that part of the suit looked like a deflated balloon.
