I think if you have a strong marriage it's just going to make it stronger. If you are with someone you settled for because you were overweight, or if your mate is very jealous, or if your mate is only attracted to big people, you are going to have issues.
Fortunately I married someone who is supportive and loves me no matter what. If anything this has made us closer, because I can trust that when I'm vulnerable he is still there for me and takes care of the things I can't.

I was struck by something your friend said and just have to say - your body is your body, not a social statement. I'm sorry she's being a nutball, as long as you're doing what's right for you and your health then whatever issues she has are her own.

She sounds like she hasn't recovered from her eating disorder. She just changed it from eating too little to eating too much. Mentally she is very unstable, it's obvious in her posts.
Just ignore her, I'm sure eventually she will find someone else to be enraged by. She seems like a very judgemental person.

boy.....somebody really thinks highly of their self importance in this world, don't they?????? sharon.....this woman has issues.....real issues! let it sink in for a moment the real crux of her issue. she is pissed becuase of how you were so inconsiderate as to make a decision of what to do with your OWN body without thinking about how it would AFFECT her! YEESH!!!! personally, i would tell her to f#*k off without an ounce of guilt. it never ceases to amaze me how someone always manages to surprise me with new lows of scrapping the bottom of the barrel of human selfishness and narcissism. i would like to be your friend too! and we are somewhat neighbors....virginia, here!

As they say "misery loves company". When you decided to get healthy, she no longer wanted your "company".
It's very clear to everyone outside of the situation, that she is a mentally unstable woman. She clearly feels that friends are disposable, and if they don't feel the same as her on every single level, she discards them. I know this is easier said than done, but walk away and try to let it go. Stop reading her blogs and move on with your life. You made an excellent choice to get healthy, and should focus on the positive things ahead. In time, when you look back, hopefully you will see her and the whole "fat acceptance" thing for what it really was. I do not believe in a "fat acceptance movement", even though I've struggled with obesity my entire life. I never accepted it, and never felt good living in my own body. Aside from appearance, it's unhealthy and dangerous to carry around all that extra weight. Your ex-friend can call it what she wants, but anyone who has to drop friendships because their feelings don't mirror her own, is a pretty sick cookie. Move on with your life and find new friends that accept you for ALL that your are.

I am sharing I pic of me one month before surgery last year with my mom and a pic of me now. She gave me the dress that she was wearing in the pic and said she wanted to see me in it the next year. Well, her wish was my command!

It's going to be ok. Relax. No you aren't going to get a thing done while you are on leave. And that's ok.
Also, when you are dropping off your child, make sure your ex husband can't see that you are looking at WLS sites on your phone. He's a psycho stalker.

I would just reassure him that you are losing weight for your you, not to find a new man. Tell him that you want to be healthier and feel better about yourself.

It's so odd. I didn't even realize that a little over a year ago my life took a change. If was always the girl forever on a diet. I was convinced it was a fat fetus. And now I'm look at pictures and I'm life Wow! Is that me? If walled by a plate glass window the other day and almost cryed.

Is it just me or does it seem like we have a lot of really beautiful people on this site? Half the time I see women's avatars I think they are already post op and find out they are pre op.

This is going to sound really odd but I like sleeping in on the weekends. Twice now I have slept so long that I end up feeling really dehydrated.
When I'm at work I have to have so.ethung to sip on all day. But at home I just have been forgetting.
I guess I miss being able to skip drinking Water without feeling like crap. But I will adjust. Its good for me anyway.
Funny how it's not missing food, it's missing being able to stay hydrated without constantly drinking water!
