Congrats! You're gonna love it...I know I do and I'm only a week out.

Sorry your Dr. chastised you, that wasn't cool at all and very unprofessional. You've lost 38 lbs. in 2 months? I think that is pretty good, it's an average of almost 4 lbs. a week, which is more than you would've been able to do on your own pre-sleeve. I wouldn't worry about it, it'll start up again, and remember when you're not losing weight, your body is losing inches to catch up.

I was sleeved 12/19, left the hospital on full liquids and was told I could add mashed taters, yogurt, Soups, and cream of wheat on 12/26. But I'm having a spoonful of potato Soup on xmas day. I weighed on 12/23 and was down 10 lbs.

Congrats. I was sleeved on the 19th. You only have a gain due to all the liquids they pushed during your surgery and don't forget all the swelling. I weighed yesterday and was down 10 lbs. A word of advise, don't get on the scale everyday, you will drive yourself crazy. I wasn't planning on weighing until Wed. but couldn't resist. I will weigh again on Wed., then once a week afterwards. It's also a good idea to take measurements, because when you're in a stall your body will lose inches to adjust. Good luck!!

Honestly I would just tell your coworkers. I did, and they have been super supportive. I did this for me, not for anyone else, and if they want to judge me or think I took the easy way out, let them. I don't care, I know how hard I tried to lose weight for the last 10 years to no avail, and this was the best option. I am 4 days post-op and am already off diabetes medication and am already down 10 lbs. Good luck on whatever you do.

Congrats. I was sleeved on the 19th and am doing well. It gets easier every day, just be sure and walk to keep the blood flowing and focus on Protein. Good luck!

Congrats on your decision, you made the right one. I was sleeved on 12/19, did not require any pain meds, left the hospital off my diabetes meds, and am now just focusing on getting my Protein in. My advise, for the gas pain (which the pain meds won't help) is to walk, and when you're lying in bed, if you get pain in your upper back/shoulders, do shoulder rolls. I also did circle massages on my stomach, very lightly to move the gas around. It helped me alot and relieved the pain quickly. I'm down 10 lbs. already Good luck and hope you have a smooth recovery.

Have you been taking your acid reducer? Sounds like you're getting a build up of bile and it's trying to get out. Maybe call the surgeon's office and ask if it doesn't get any better soon. Good luck
