Oh yeah. I'm wiped out when I least expect it. And YES! OMG the fast food commercials! The new pizza Hut sliders! Are you kidding me? They play that darn thing all the time. One more thing- my heating pad has helped with the gas pain too! It's my new BFF!

prettybird & Alberta- walking is the best but damn I hated doing it! I'm also craving food- I know it's just my head but I'd seriously consider compromising my ethics for a grilled cheese! LOL! I've got 14 days of full liquids then mushy foods- it'll be a while before I get solid stuff!

Prettybird- SO glad you said Sam's! We don't have a Costco and everyone is recommending stuff from there!

Sleeved on the 6th. The day of surgery the nausea and vomiting was unbelievable! Had no idea I would hold that much vomit after not eating! Discharged the next day- nausea seems to be a small issue at night but I take half of my phenergen dose and it's fine. Hoping I won't have to tonight. The gas pains are SO much better and everyone was right walking helped but UGH- not fun walking at all! Actually went for a ride today and did well! A little tired but otherwise no too bad. I'm also having trouble getting all of my fluids in but I changed glasses today and weirdly that's helped! My giant tervis tumbler to the rescue! Glad everyone seems to be doing great!

    Aetna Insurance

It's aggravating. And frustrating. But I'm trying to stay positive.

    Aetna Insurance

I've got Aetna. My first appointment was in October. They said I had to do 90 days multidisciplinary meetings- I went in Oct, Nov and Dec. Saw the surgeon in January. I thought I'd have a decision by now. Instead- I have another visit with the NUT in February (their request) and they want two years of medical records documenting my weight. It's aggravating but I'm going to jump through their hoops. I was hoping to be down a lot by my daughters graduation in May. I'm starting to loss hope.

I'm thinking I will def do that!

    Aetna

I saw my surgeon yesterday and they are submitting everything today. Now. I. Wait. We have Aetna POS II, so I'm hoping it will be quick. I almost cried when they said 2-4 weeks for word. I've been jumping through hoops since the end of August. Sadly- this hoop jumping didn't count as exercise. My BMI was 41 & my only comorbitity is psoriatic arthritis, which I don't think they count.

    I've Cheated!

I've told a handful of people and received only one negative comment from a person who later admitted they've considered WLS but are afraid. I won't be telling some family members though. At Thanksgiving my cousins wife was talking about some she knew having the surgery when all she needed to do was "Get off her lazy fat ass & exercise."
  12. I've worried about the same things!!
  13. I'm telling pretty much everyone with the exception of a few family members. May tell them eventually but maybe not. It's not that I'm not hiding it, I just don't think it's an issue. I was recently diagnose with psoriatic arthritis and have gained weight from the meds & lack of mobility. Most people have been very supportive & understand I'm doing it for my health. The rest, well, they can kiss my fat (soon to be thinner) ass.
  14. Ordering clothes off the Internet because I want to, not because I have to. Not hiding behind people in pictures. Not being self conscious that people are judging me by what I eat. Wearing a bathing suit without wanting to cry.

    Louisiana Sleevers!

I'm currently jumping through my 90 day hoops with Aetna. I'm planning on using Dr Sartor in Monroe. Should have my consultation with him or his nurse practitioner in December and then it'll be psych eval and waiting for insurance decision. I know quite a few people who've used him but I'm still nervous about the surgery and after. I can't wrap brain around what it's going to be like.
