I confess that I wish I could have eaten Mexican or Chinese take away badly today!
I confess that I wish I could drink my coke zero like I used to because I drank more then and just get annoyed with trying to get my fluids in.
I confess I still haven’t left my house on my own I only leave when someone will drive me to my destination.
I confess I have eaten chips (us kind not uk kind crisps to us) not whole bags like 3 pringles, but I did get a packet of cheese curls ate 4 and sucked all the cheese flavour off the rest and tossed the soggy mush in the bin (time of the month I was always a starchy person its still the same!)
I confess I am sad my bust is disappearing at a very fast rate and I kinda hate them right now.

I confess that I too, think about food way too much, but I know Im not really hungry.
I confess, because of number 1, that I am totally addicted to sunflower seeds
I confess that I drink caffeinated coffee everyday, but add Unjury unflavored to it.
I confess that since I quit smoking in December, I still think about smokes everyday. (prolly explains #2)
I confess I eat chocolate once in a while, but I think that is why I DON'T eat it everyday.
I confess that I USED to get upset about missing my old eating habits, but now Im proud of the fact that I don't give a crap about it anymore
I confess that I lie to my husband when he wants to go out to eat and I don't. I tell him I don't feel like it. The truth is, I have better things to do than to sit and watch him and the boys make 5 trips to the buffet.
I confess that I am secretly amused when my husband eats a big plate of carbs and fat... I just think "Keep going skinny man, one day you wont fit into that chair".
I confess that I am proud of the fact that I am forty something and getting physically fit. I make sure everyone in the house knows I just came from the gym.
I confess that I looked in the mirror way too much today, the first day I have worn size 14s.

Yes, this is normal. And believe me when I say to never trust a fart!! Not a good idea, if you know what I mean??!! Haha

Hi there everyone I'm 6 months out and have lost 92 pounds the only trouble I have is that I'm always cold specially my feet has any one else got this problem?

it does get easier! hang in there. As you healing things will get better and easier. Also, once you start eating solid foods, you will start feeling the "restriction" from the sleeve and feel "full" sooner. During the first week, my head hunger was unbearable! It took time for me to understand what I was feeling was not physical hunger.
Every week will be easier than the last. Stay hydrated, eat slowly, chew well, get plenty of rest, and keep a positive outlook

I too ate a pickle.. I literally got up from watching TV with my boyfriend and I went and drank a few sips of the juice and ate a bite of a pickle... it was the best pickle I have ever had!

Anyone have munchies at night... I do..obviously I can't eat a lot..but its worst at night..Antone feel the same..I'm trying to fight head hunger ..I know I'm not hungry..lol..

To pick up a few extra hours for Christmas, I worked in a department that I do not work in on my normal work days. Soooo of course I am a new face and to make time pass, this young gentleman and I started chatting about any and everything. Well into the conversation, he makes the comment.. "you have a cute face." Moving on to the next day, an older gentleman from the same department tells me "you have a really pretty face" and since then every time he sees me he calls me "lady with the pretty face."
Now to get on to my rant...hehe Why can't people just compliment you, instead of specifying what exactly they are complimenting. For me, instead of hearing the supposed compliment, I hear an insult as well. I know I am not the only one that have experienced this.
What are some compliments/ insults that you received while you were bigger that could have been taken as an insult? I will list a few.
They say.... I hear(interpret)....
You have a pretty face. Your body is busted.
You dress nice, considering your size.
I interpret: Big people cannot dress.
Did HE just try and talk to your?
I interpret: Why isn't he interested in me, I'm smaller?
Girl, you better take what you can get!
I interpret: Being big makes me not have a preference??

You look amazing!! The shoe thing is awesome I really hope my Fred flintstone feet shrink too LOL. You look so much younger also! Just awesome!!

I'm so glad I made the decision to have the gastric sleeve surgery. What a life changing experience. I'm still single but that's the least of my worries. I fit in any booth, any chair, from 26 jeans to a 14/16. Shoe size from a 10 to a 9 my foot looks cute and skinny. Size 11 ring to a 9. I finally rode on an airplane and didnt need any extension. I'm sooooo happy people. I'm living life now

I've noticed that most everyone who's responded is pre-op or very newly sleeved. I'm 6, almost 7 months out. Down 75 pounds from an all time high of 254. BP down, cholesterol levels normal, blood sugar perfect, sleep apnea gone, shopping at normal people stores for regular size 12s and 14s (a first in my life!), crossing my legs like a lady, taking a few flights of stairs without a thought, week 7 of Couch to 5K (ridiculous!), being hit on by men half my age, guzzling Water after a workout, eating reasonable portions of Protein first, then veggies and fruit, getting at least one Protein Drink a day as insurance (and I love me a tall iced latte with vanilla protein). What's not to love? I'm 54, and my ONLY regret is that I didn't do this sooner. We celebrated my mom's birthday last week at a four star French restaurant. I tasted everything, gravitated mostly toward my filet and seafood appetizers, shared with others, had a lovely glass of wine and focused on appreciating my mom's longevity and support, and my husband's affection. Have I mentioned how happy I am that food is not the crutch and anchor and absolute center of my life? It truly feels like I've been let out of a cage. I'm not sure what the future holds for you, but I encourage you to read some of the posts of folks denied surgery for many complicated insurance or physical or financial reasons. You have been given a great opportunity to change your life, bug only you can embrace the chance and be grateful for it and run with it. Best of success to you; this too shall pass!

I have two special sleeve sisters having surgery tomorrow. Let's join together in prayer and cover their them and all our sleeve family in prayer. God, King of King, Lord of all Lords we honor you tonight with praise. Knowing that each person having WLS and other procedures this week are covered by and through the blood of Jesus. According to your word you said that by your stripes we are healed. Meaning that healing is already taken place. No weapon formed against us shall prosper, we declare that all distractions that attempt to rise up in our minds, body or spirit that they ate castes down into the sea of in forgetfulness. We declare the surgeons instruments are covered in the oil of The Lord. We declare we our made whole and eyes have not seen nor ears heard what you have in store for our bodies. We will continue to give you all the glory, honor and praise. We love you and thank you for your love. In Jesus name. Amen

My surgery is at 10 am tomorrow, November 19th. I am in absolute shock/disbelief that the day has finally come! I have some nerves, but more than anything I'm just ready to wake up and start my recovery!!

Hi y'all! Surgery is done and I'm in my room. Had some serious pain in the beginning but now with all the meds they have in me I'm feeling ok. My largest incision hurts some but the majority of pain I feel is in my chest which I guess is from the gas. Been drifting in and out of sleep for the last few hours but I'm awake now and even walked a little bit. Thanks to everyone for their prayers!

Don't forget to pray for our sleeve brothers and sisters this week. Father we declare they are already healed walking in destiny. Steady the surgeons hands and mind and all that surround him/her.
