    Horror Story

No HIPAA laws were violated here. She was not involved in care of patient. She can speak of her sister's experience even if it bothers others. That's the right of free speech.
  2. I went by myself to Mexico. Do your research. I chose C. Juarez with Dr Rodriguez. He's done over 10,000 surgeries.. Experience is everything.
  3. Thanks for the inspiration!!!! You look fabulous. I am sure you feel good. my sleeve was 11/23. I don't see much difference at all but I feel I'm moving better . Strange ? Please take care of yourself.

    When Does Eating Get Easier?

Thank you for this great advice to this thread. I was sleeved 11/23. I am learning what I can tolerate now. I can barely get the carton of cottage cheese down. I drink warm tea on the morning and that helps. My spasms are rare, thankfully. I do feel some hunger pains mainly when I forget my Protein shakes. I've Tried a few soft foods too soon and my body lets me know it. That nauseous feeling and lump in the throat is awful !! Slow advancement is the key.
  5. There is no follow up in the states. You do a leak test before you are discharged and you are started on fluids before you leave. I chose him because of his experience. The nursing staff left much to be desired and I'm speaking as a physician. I would take a family member with me if I were to do it again. I had to be my own advocate. If Tijuana is close, you can Always go back if problems occur.
  6. Thank you for this good advice.
  7. The number of varied posts and the original post with UNCLEAR history and dates highlight why this is NOT the proper forum for this serious discussion... This is a weight loss site. . This really is a pro choice/ pro life discussion. Talk to your doctors, counseling centers, close friends... Did you really expect different responses from members, essentially strangers of unknown religions and values of this site ? I assume You posted as a grown woman. You have to be able to Take the responses as a grown woman. Take care of yourself.

    Downtime After Sleeve.

I went back to one week after surgery because did not have time to stay Off longer . My job is cut throat. We get only 3 days a year. I really wish I had 2 weeks off although I had no issues at work. I just was sore after 3 hours of work and exhausted when I got home. Each person is different. Take 2 weeks if you can. You deserve it.
  9. I was sleeved 11/23. I cannot say enough good things about the surgical team and the anesthesiologist. The floor nursing left Something to be desired. Most were good. Some were very poor and spoke zero English. There was always one on shift who could communicate with you. All in all, I would do it again. Dr Rodriguez has years of experience. I would recommend the surgical team to anyone.
  10. Such an inspiration !!!!!!!! Thank you Congratulations! You look fabulous.
