  1. I'm doing alright but Today was a tough day. I got into it with my husband who was threatening me about cutting me off our insurance so I can't get surgery. He's a spiteful jerk. Sorry for the TMI but it sucks having to deal with the crap. Anywho I wasn't able to find out my date because the one who schedules was out but I do find out on Nov 2 so I'm excited! I pray everything goes good with the insurance and I get approved for the end of dec. Did you get your surgery done yet?
  2. Thank ms shauna! Im usually everyones positive cheer leader and i try to make everyday a positive day with a smile even when theres days i really don't want to. But I'll do my best
  3. Thank u so much gail! I hope it all works out. God knows I pray everyday.
  4. So I started my journey in June and I'm totally thrilled and scared. Tomorrow I find out my date for surgery considering I have two months left for the insurance to approve me.(praying) Joining this forum was such a blessing. I've learned so much from everyones experiences and I now feel like the sleeve is a better option for me then the bypass. This is the first forum I've ever joined and it's been so helpful. It really gave me the heads up to what expect. Thank u everyone! But what fears me most is that I won't have my other half to support me and I'll be going through this experience alone. My husband and I are separated at the moment and don't know if we'll ever be a family again. It's been really stressful and it sucks! But all this drama isn't going to make me lose my focus. I believe things happen for a reason and getting this wls is going to be a fresh start to a new successful healthier life for myself and my daughter. I choose life! I'm praying that after surgery I no longer have to be insulin dependent and be able to keep up with my crazy four yr old and have just as much energy that she does.

    Liquid Diet

I was told to just stick with fruits that are low glycemic like berries.

    Liquid Diet

I'm insulin dependent and I find it to lower my sugar level a bit plus the protein shakes keep me full longer compared to a breakfast sandwich. I'm actually starting to enjoy them for breakfast. I mean I think they all pretty suck in taste but if it helps keep my tummy full then I'm drinking them, lol!

    Buddy's In South Jersey/philadelphia

That's awesome! My insurance needs 6 months proof of visits so December marks the 6th month and I'm praying everything turns out well so I can't get my surgery before new years. Do u have presurgery jitters? I'm starting to get a little nervous.
