Howdy fellow nurses and sleevers! Had my sleeve 4-9 and came home today4-11. I think it went well, no nausea, pain was ok, had a morphine c\pca but didn't use it that much. Still on clears until tomorrow. -

Hello fellow nurses and sleevers! I have 3 more days of my liver reduction diet and have lost 11 pounds so far. Count down is on for OR on Tuesday......super excited!! -

This is great to hear. I have been a gym member now for about 6 weeks and love going. They have a pool which is why I joined this particular gym. I get sleeved on April 9th and am taking a month off from work.

Hi! My name is Sharon and I am an ICU nurse for 25+ years. I am in the western New York area and being sleeved on April 9th. I start my liver reduction diet March 30. -
I initially wante dto get the band , but after my visit with the surgeon and based on the amount of weight I want to lose I decided on the sleeve. I get my surgery April 9th.

I just found out that the insurance pproved me!!Yay.....tentatively scheduled for Aprtil 9th Next up is the liver reduction diet.......any thoughts,advice?

My surgery isn't until April 9 and I have only told 2 people other than my husband, and kids. I told one of my sisters but not the other.

All of my "package" is in except that the diet history is not detailed enough. What do these insurance companies want? My doctor sent in my weights from 2000 to now. Do they really think that I journaled my weight ups and downs all these years?

Help, I am having trouble with this part of the application. I need to cfill out a diet history for the last 5 years.....my life since I was about 25 has been nothing but one failed diet after another.... how do I do this? I don't want to mess up my chance of getting approved...... Sharon

By the way thanks for listening to my gripping. Is this the worst part of the process? I saw the psychologist last week and have my nutrition visits scheduled for November.....this silly diet history is like a monkey on my back. All the insurance needs to do is contact my MD and he has 25 years worth of my ups and downs.....mostly ups.

That is my story exactlly.....What is the purpose of this anyways. My family doctor has been after me for several years to do this and now I have to jump thru hoops for the insurance company? The doctor could just send them a list of my weight thru the years.
