VST addict--did Dr. Aceves do the plication or regular sleeve? I was checking out his clinic on line, and it sounds like people think he is great, but, there is'nt that "Center of Excellence" designation like Dr. Ortiz in Tijuana. How did you decide on him? I am a self pay, but will not make this decision to save a few bucks.

My NY resolutions
1. Exercise more. Take classes at my gym
2. Be more adventurous! Do different things. Go out! Have fun!
3. Going back for my masters degree/ finding a spot in my career to continue to help save lives!

I'm not a doctor, so you shouldn't take my advice, but personally, I don't think it looks that bad. I had one that looked much worse than this and it all worked out in the end. Just keep it clean and follow your doctor's orders.

I've seen infected wounds before, and yours does not seem alarming. It looks like its slowly healing. If you feel it gets worse go in and they'll prob put you on an antibiotic. Best of luck to you.

If pus is coming out, it must be infected, definitely go see the doctor, not just call him.

None of mine ever looked like this, but I did have an issue about 3 weeks out. One of my incisions was about an inch above my belly button where may pants band was and when I would sit down my roll of fat would overlap my pants and press against the wound. It got very red and swollen looking. I took my shower, cleaned it and put antibacterial ointment on it can covered it with an extra large bandaid that I did not remove until it was the next evening time to take a shower. It looked so much better. After that I kept putting antibacterial ointment on it 2x a day. It healed faster than any of the others and now at 11 weeks looks better than the others. It is hardly even red.

It's very unfortunate that it's come apart. Wash them daily with a saline and visit your pharmacy to see if they have some type of wound healing cream. But don't let it dry out - it will make it itchy, hard and not heal as well.
But if the pus gets worse (I assume you mentioned that to the surgeon), see a GP in case it gets infected.

Yes, call your doctor. None of us are qualified to give you advice. Not being rude, but any time you have an issue like this or pain, the first thing you should be doing is calling your physician.

Post op day 5. Doing really good. Getting all my fluids in. Got in most of my Protein yesterday. But wait.. I'm sick of all this sweet crap. I do like my strained Soups.
So far I've tried muscle milk light, unjory chocalate splendor, various isopures and I hate them. Tooo sweet, no substance just plain Yuck. Pours down drain. What else can I try?

Hey girl! I was thinking about you the say of your surgery... Welp had nines this morning.and I feel pretty good. Gas pains right under my breast.bone and top of my tummy. I haven't had the leak test as of yet. Maybe in the morning. I cannot wait to have something to drink. Other than.I'm feeling prety good. Walking testing and sleeping.

So I been on this journey since 2010... I didn't really discuss with anyone my.intentions until this year after I got married. No one really believd me when I said I had to take a 12 week long class and loose 10 % but when I finally finished I guess it all became real. I didn't want to tell my mom that this was it. I'm going to get sleeved because I knew she wouldn't agree with it. So I eased her into it. She didn't fully agree but she would be supportive. My husband knew all along what I was going to do. He wasn't too sure but he was going to support me because I made up my mind.
My sleeve date has been pushed.up to this wednesday. The day before thanksgiving. I'm stoked. I figure everyone else should be too right? HELL NO! I spoke with my mom about arrangements and she says that I shouldn't do this and she doesn't agree and that I can just work hard yadda yards ya! I was a little mad but I always know my mom will have my back. I text hubby to tell.him that moms not on board. He gets home and says YOU DIDN'T MAKE THIS DECISION WITH ME AND YOU SHOULD NOT GO THROUGH WITH THIS. YOU HAVEN'T EVEN TRIED TO REALLY LOOSE WEIGHT. LOOK AT ME I'M DETERMINED I LOST WEIGHT. UR BEING LAZY. U JUST WANT TO LOOSE WEIGHT FAST. This broke my heart! My husband has always been there for me. I don't want this to hurt us. But on the other hand. This is what I want. Nobody understands what I go through on a day to day basis. Nobody knows what I think.about it....
I just don't know anymore. My support system comprised of my mother and husband is gone. I don't want to go through with this alone...

I'm not gonna lie.. it's the ISH ladies! I recommend it!! Hahaha!
