  1. Has anyone tried Ultherapy?

    Specifically on their neck.

Some areas will have to be addressed with surgery. Period. But i am cautiously optimistic my neck area could be improved with Ultherapy.

I’m trying to maximize my experience and minimize my cost, so I’m pondering which procedures would be best for me. And when.

I’m not quite to goal and I carry most of my weight in my hips, thighs, and butt.

I am most sensitive about my arms and thighs.

Then my neck, stomach, and breasts.

I have done my RESEARCH!!! No one can come up with valid reasons. I am very tired of this comments. I disagree with you and I also voted for Trump. What do you have to say about that. I have debated the best. Now leave me alone!!!

    Weren’t you leaving?

Good luck on your surgery. I hope it goes well and you are successful.

  3. This is good to know.

Does BariatricPal have packages for plastic surgery now?

I'm sorry but we do not and don't plan on getting involved in plastics at this point. Let us know who you go with!

What changed??? I've been planning and saving in anticipation of BP adding this option. I had my WLS in Mexico and it was hella stressful having to research and vet every single doctor only by patient experience.

Trying to wade through the real people and the coordinators.

  4. So? What's new on BP?

Not much at all...............only that some of the folks that were honest with me.....gave me the jolts of truth and challenged me......helped direct me to change my thinking and behaviors..........helped me extend my life....which was soon to end....and now I feel like I'll live forever since taking their advice.........yeah...those people have been permanently banned.

    Not much has happened.

Sadly.....the loss will impact the very newbies that are posting in this thread the most. I was one of them this time a year ago. I wish them well and hope that they can sift through the bs and find some real solid advice from some real solid veterans. There truly aren't many left and it is a poor reflection of what this place is becoming.

I am confused about why advice givers are being banned...

So are the mass lipstick profile pics for LipStickLady? Was she banned?

  5. We're trying to research (and possibly work with) the top plastic surgeons in Mexico. I've found that our members are usually right on target when it comes to this kind of info.

Which plastic surgeon in Mexico have you used or are looking to use, in the near future? Please provide all contact info for any plastics surgeon you're recommending.

Alex, any timeframe on whether BariatricPal will partner with plastic surgeons in Mexico? I'll be needing plastics next summer.

We're working on something interesting as I type this....I hope to have some news for you in a week or two.

I am wondering where BariatricPal is with this venture? I am closing in on goal and saving accordingly.

  6. I am almost 3 years out from my sleeve surgery and down 130 lbs.

My starting weight was 405 lbs. I consider my VSG to be a success, however, I have been gaining and losing the same 5-10 lbs for about a year.

I am considering going back across the border to Mx for a revision.

I would love to know what VSG to MGB patients have experienced. Especially if you chose Medical Tourism.< /p>

Also - with the revision, how do they alter an already altered stomach?

  7. I'm so sad that the reason I came back to MBP to post is due learning about the passing of my amazing surgeon, Dr. Aceves. He was such a nice man and a talented surgeon.

I cannot speak on the relationships that those who do not do Medical Tourism build with their medical team locally but for many of us who venture away from our "home" it feels more personal.

Dr. Aceves helped me to change my life and made a terrifying decision easy and comfortable,

My sympathies to those who's lives are effected by this loss.

  8. Yes, and I would say anyone that says they didn't is a liar!! It's all trial and error! Depends on how well u chew with regard how u feel, take it slow and chew chew chew x

I would not be so quick to call others a liar simply to justify your own "slip".

I followed my postop diet to the letter.

  9. I struggle with a goal. I'm tall and carry my weight in the hips, thighs, and butt. I want to look and feel attractive. Healthy. I want to be fit. But will I know it when I reach it?

I struggle with this because I see others who are "never satisfied" when they hit their *goal*. Who want to lose a bit more. Strive for "skinny" which translates into my mind as unhealthy.

A long term side effect of this surgery that doesn't get nearly as much attention as leaks, PE, or bougie size are the eating disorders I believe people on here have developed. And the body dysmorphia I've seen posted.

I struggle with goals because they scare me. I struggle with how I see my body. I struggle with my addiction.
