  1. I'm 1 year out and eat between 1000-1200 cals and weight loss has slowed down. I just joined a gym to kickstart me again! I started at 412 and now weigh 247' so I've lost 165 lbs so far, but would like to get down to at least 200.

    Chefs? Avid home cooks?

I was a total foodie and like to cook before surgery- now am even more so! The difference is now I try to cook healthy things and focus on new healthy recipes and use a ton of spices for flavor.

Year out what do you eat on daily basis?

I'm 7 months out and eat around 900-1000 calories a day. My diet is varied and revolves around: eggs, dannon or yo plait Greek yogurt with Special K Protein Cereal added to it, Lots of salad with grilled chicken or ham, edamame, veggies (brussel sprouts, fresh green Beans, asparagus, cauliflower, red pepper,) a little fruit here or there, fish, steak, hummus with carrots, Quest bars, quesadillas with lo carb tortilla, crackers, whipped pb, 100 cal bags of kettlecorn. I really don't eat rice, Pasta, potatoes except to have a bite here or there- it fills me up too much as does bread. I will eat an occasional piece of light bread toasted or a half of bagel thin but that's about all I can manage. I'm down 125 lbs and still have 100 to go.
  6. here is a Protein powder muffin recipe that I tweaked from another recipe I found on here. 1 scoop vanilla Protein Powder (100 cal / 15 G protein) 1 egg, beaten 2 teaspoons cocoa powder 2 teaspoons truvia 1 Tblspoon sugar free liquid French vanilla coffee creamer 1.5 teaspoons almond extract Spray muffin tin with Pam and spoon into 2 muffin cups Bake on 375 for 12 min. These have a good taste, not too sweet, but a little dense since there isn't any flour of baking soda in it. recipe yields 2 muffins, each muffin is around 100 cal and 11g protein.

    7 month Vsg Before/After pic

Thank you! I stalled a little bit about a month out (your body is adjusting) and again around month 6 for maybe a week. I honestly didn't do much to get it moving again because I knew to expect it and that the scale would start moving again. I know there is going to come a point where I will need to up the activity to get past a future stall, but I'm prepared! Good luck and be patient

    Thanks everyone!
  10. It's been 7 months since I had my Vsg. Love I my sleeve!
  11. And yes, no problem losing weight. Down 75lbs since I was sleeved on 10/23!
  12. It's been 3.5 months since I've been sleeved.. Still eating the way I'm supposed to, getting all my protein in. I used to enjoy food so much and now I'm no longer obsessed with it. It's actually a good thing. I used to be a major carb addict. Now I barely eat bread or carbs!
  13. Ever since having surgery, it seems as though I have lost interest in food! Very rarely do I crave anything. I eat good food, but about 3/4 of the way through eating I just flat out lose interest! Also, I find that some foods taste different to me than before surgery. Has anyone else experienced this?
