You may find that there is too much food on WW to eat now....But to me whatever works is doable!!!!!!!!!

I am so sorry, but your venting made me laugh..So many things that we all experienced and the buyers remorse shining through your complaints.
Hold on kid it is going to get better. I promise you. Life is going to start to hand you some pretty cool experiences called NSV. And then you will say I am so glad I did this.
Mean while it takes time to get used to all the changes and rules..of our new life style. But it will become very manageable for you as well as routine very soon.
Take the time to really enjoy exploring new foods that would be interesting to try. And then for sure you will have conversations about food.
The whole reason you had this surgery in the first place was because of your addiction to the chemical reaction in your brain and lack of self control while enjoying the chemical reaction in your brain. But if you learn to make good, nutritional choices and make them tasty. There will be lots to talk about and you will be helping your body as well.
I am never hungry either and have not been hungry all along...If i did not have Reactive Hypoglycemia I probably would not eat as often as I do and then I would be smaller then I am now......
Trust me girl it will all come together and you are going to be so proud of yourself!!!!!!!

I am very surprised at the harsh words on this forum....We are here to encourage not break people down...I did the pre-op fine....But others on here had a cheese burger while doing pre-op....
I think if I was asking for help and got this kind of answer I would leave the forum discouraged!
I am not saying it was right.....But there are ways of saying things that get the point across without that kind of force.....We are all in this together and rely on each other to help work through the issues....Not hit people over the head...
An old expression fits here I think...You get more flies with honey then with vinegar.....
Just a thought for those who think they will never fall or make a mistake in this life long journey
Make sure you tell your surgeon so that he/she can decide if the surgery will be a go or not.....K

RJ'S/beginning got a reaction from FluffyChix in MiniMizer Ring with Sleeve
I have never heard of it before...But came across these questions that you need to ask before you agree to it:
how many have they fitted and to what success rate? how long has this been used? and has it been used on virgin sleevers? or stretched sleeves? on what basis does he know it doesn't cause scarring...what about weakening of the oesophageal sphincter? does it cause that? what if it is too tight? what then? what about slips and erosion? how would it affect post op recovery? because your sleeved tummy is literally the size of an egg cup due to swelling, wouldn't this make it worse and more difficult to drink and eat particularly post op? Given that stress and anxiety can cause a lap band to become tighter, what effect does this device have on a smaller sleeved stomach?

I eat a little of everything. I refuse to treat my life like a failed diet. The entire point of WLS is to learn how to eat properly and in balance and moderation. This takes retraining your brain in viewing food as a way to put nutrients in your body not a pleasure point. Not as a comfort or a trigger for happiness.
There is room for everything in moderation. We live in the real world and so we must learn how to eat in the real world. There are things I cannot eat now that I could before but I have worked around that. I do eat a little Pasta, rice and bread. But I limit them. I always eat my Protein first then veggies. If I have room a little carb is taken in as well.
My Nut told me that we need to be healthy and treat this as a new way of living. Everything in moderation! If you find you over eat carbs then I guess you stay clear of them until you are in a better place mentally. Some never reach that comfort zone. I understand that completely.
I eat normally. Like a thin person. And that includes bread. For me it is okay.

Sure is better then chips and other junk food....
Seems to be working for me

Are we resilient in our weight loss journey? Do we know our weaknesses and strengths and fight the urges to give into our old ways? Do we still use food as a form of comfort, celebration, reward, socialization and escape from the feelings we are having at that moment, good or bad! Can we push our way through these deep rooted emotions and become healthy and happy?

    Pushing Your Way Through

I have a few Hollyhocks in my garden that just grew there. I did not plant them. I did not take the time to make a place for them so that they would stand out as specimen plants. No tender loving care was bestowed on these flowers to help them become the plants I found stunning and beautiful with their rich outer color of burgundy with soft pink centers. What a delight to find these treasures in my garden. They found their way into my world without so much as a finger lifted on my part. Before this summer I saw Hollyhocks as a simple, common plant. To someone else it is possible that they are the gem of plants. Maybe a reminder of the good old days when things were simple and sweet. My grandmother grew hers around back of the old outhouse on her farm. That is how I remember them.
How did they come into my garden? The seed was most likely transferred in the breeze and made its way to me. Even though I did nothing to help them grow and take root in my garden, I have come to see that they now belong there. They did all the work and I now admire them for their resilience.
When referring to ecological resilience, it is the ability to return to its original state after being disturbed. You see, about nine or ten years ago I pulled every single Hollyhock out of my garden replacing them with other tall flowers. I had not seen any trace of them since. But now there are new ones. They were insistent and settled themselves in among the other plants and kept pushing until they stood tall and bloomed in all their glory.
Resilience has yet another meaning. It is the ability to make realistic plans , being capable of taking the necessary steps to follow through. A positive self-concept and confidence in ones strengths and abilities. Having communication and problem-solving skills. And the ability to manage strong impulses and feelings.
Or are we easily stomped out and have little to no strength and will power when it gets difficult. Becoming overwhelmed by other things that can easily crowd out our conviction to reach our goals.
By retraining our brains, finding our trigger points and looking at food in a new light we can win this battle and become successful in our endeavor to feel better and healthier. Having real control. Finally putting dieting in the past and living each day a new. Learning more and more how we can win the war not just the battle of obesity.
The odds are against us, our past experiences of weight loss and regain have made us timorous about our future and our weight management. At those times maybe we were not ready or we denied ourselves food or it was a fad diet of some sort that we had to follow. Whatever it was. That is in the past! Now is the time to see a new and improved you with a brighter future of no weight related health issues. A busier and more fulfilled life ahead of us. If we really want it, it is there for the taking. Weight loss surgery is the tool that will give us the time we need to get help to fix why we became obese in the first place.
No one said it was going to be easy. No wait! Those who have not experienced what it takes mentally, emotionally and physically to be successful might not understand all of it and use the over used quote, ' you are taking the easy way out.' But no matter. It is about us forcing our way through the hard times, the painful times and yes even the good times.
Like the Hollyhocks in my garden that planted themselves there against all probability. We too can push our way through and plant ourselves in the garden of life with a new healthier us with a bright and colorful future ahead of us with the help of one of the weight loss surgeries that are available to us.

TY for that @@MrsPJ I am okay with who I am now. When it all happened it was painful. But I have managed to adjust.
I am in a lot of pain due to scaring because of the complications of WLS. So for me to wear tight body forming garments is not possible. It has been hard but I now like who I am even with the lumps and bumps.
It is part of the sacrifices I made to lose the weight. A choice I made good or bad.

All valid points ladies and I appreciate your kind words. It was just something I was not expecting. Last I heard it was a go. Two surgeons working side by side. Not no, and the list went on for thirty minutes why.
Each reason was valid. I am just upset. where to go is here. i think of others like me and need their words of wisdom as you have all shown me.
My body takes forever to heal now. I get sick easily. My skin breaks down there is no pre work I can do. It is what it is. I have to except that and thank you for the sites. I am no computer savvy. Will look up Compression garments after weight loss surgery.

That is always the best way to go. ASK questions from your team and be knowledgeable about everything before you go in for surgery. Know what is going to happen. Possible outcomes good and bad. Be prepared for anything. Except any possible outcome before you agree to let WLS happen to you. It is your life your body. You are your own champion no one else will do it for you.

I learned an awful lot about WLS after the fact. And I thought I knew a lot before.
Maybe it is difference 4 years later I don't know..But I doubt it very much!
