As someone once said to me...Plenty of room on the "losers bench" the veterans are scooting down and making room.

I bought some Lactaid pills out of the pharmacy department at Walmart. I had a dumping experience after cottage cheese. Now I take no chances.

I drank the premier Protein Shakes from SAMs club they taste good are low in carbs and 30 grams of protein per shake . They come in boxes of 16 I think and they are inexpensive. There is a coupon at SAMs club this week thru July 21st for 4 dollars off and I think they are around 14.99 a case. Also at GNC their brand of Protein powder Cookies n cream and banana taste good also and they have a special sometimes. Buy one get one. Buy the shaker container with the little metal ball to mix it good. Now after your procedure milk like products like the premiere may be hard to get down. But give it some time you will be able to drink them again.

Here you can see my before pics. High blood pressure, type two diabetes..i like to go places and do things but my body was so out of shape I felt miserable because that is not who i was inside. When i was made aware of this surgery and saw the success of others, i made a decision to get it done. As i see the results, I'll admit it I am feeling myself right now.buying cute clothes, going places. But i held myself back because of the weight for sooooo long. i am happy i am getting the results i want. i pray i am able to maintain it and actually live the life God has given me.
  7. The nausea meds also make it hard to "go". If you havent gone in a couple days, give the Dr. A call.

  11. Are you taking any prescription pain meds still? That was the culprit for me. Constipation after surgery happend to me also. A little miralax for a few days and by day 3 you should have a bowel movement. You are also not eating alot of foods yet. It will be a little while before your bowels function normally again but they will. Wait till you get to the "sharts" stage! I literally could not tell if I needed to pass gas or number 2 for a week or so. Take it in stride. As you start to drop the weight you feel look and feel fabulous.

I was doing pretty good with a natural chop before surgery. Then in the third month post surgery I decided to get a relaxer. I did not take into account I'd be exercising more to speed up metabolism and keep weight loss at a regular pace. I just kept sweating my wraps right out. 50 dollars down the drain for a style that last 4 days tops. The following month my hair just kept breaking and was very brittle. It is definetly thinner.Dying it did not help the situation either. Just when you start wanting to slack on the protein about your 3rd or fourth month is when you should be making sure you are getting it in the most.I decided cut it off and start over with my natural curls. That way its thicker looking. And easier to maintain after the gym.

    The easy route

Just another form of control. Haters are always gonna find a way to discriminate you...too fat, too thin, too dark, too light, too ugly, too pretty. Now the journey and the lesson that is to be learned is to love yourself despite what others think and say. Love yourself enough to not feel guilty about the new healthier yu. And show others you are doing just fine and living life with your sleeve. You don't have to justify it to no one. Haters hate to see you with your head held high and your face in the sun. Give it to "em!!
