    Differing Doctor's Orders?

Yep, each doctor is different...like each weight loss is different...like we are all different...yet the same! Wow, having your doctor (any doctor) sit with you that long is amazing! Follow his plan and I'm sure you will do well... Good luck

Congrats...I am hoping to be there someday... I can't exercise much due to a knee problem that will be corrected in January...so keeping my fingers crossed... all I want to do is be in Onederland!!!

    Yoga's harder than it looks!

I have been researching yoga as well...have a place to go...just have to get the courage up to get my butt there! But I'm sure I'll have to modify as well, but, I know it will be good for me and help with my RA, etc!

    Bad breath

Doctor recommended Biotene for me...but I don't know if it works...never got around to buying it (i hate shopping)
  9. BigGirlPanties

    Protein powder

no...but that is Calcium carbonate, not citrate... Citrate absorbs better for us, so that is what is suggested. I love my calcium chews...usually I get caramel...feels like I'm "cheating"...they are so yummy

    Bad breath

it's part of ketosis(sp?) you can use biotene, which is suppose to help with the dry mouth that is part of the problem... it goes away in time, but so annoying during its process...

My lunch bag is a sad place right now

The calcium citrate I take comes in caramel (LOVE) and other flavors... 6 chews a day...so, to me, that's my sweet for the day
  12. you are still having the anethesia wear off, etc from being in the hospital if you are only 7 days post op...so that will happen on occasion as your body adjusts... the walking should have helped... if it lasts for a long time, and you get no relief, talk to your doctor, they may prescribe something like gas-x or prilosec to get you through. Congrats!

My lunch bag is a sad place right now

that's my fear...that one bite will start an avalanche of NEEDING chocolate regularly... but, agreed...if you can handle "just a bit" that's great for you... I do believe we have to find what works for us on a day to day basis or we will not succeed...having an occasional piece of chocolate will not disrupt most of us
  14. @@Miss Mac... I will have to look that up... I know if I had silver hair...I would wear as a badge of honor! I think it is beautiful!

    Uncomfortable stomach feeling

It has passed for me for the most part...have you spoken to your doctor about this?
  16. BigGirlPanties

My lunch bag is a sad place right now

After the "cleanse" I did with the liquids for 4 weeks, I haven't gone back to sweets...except an occasional sugar free fudgesicle... they say the cravings are in your head...but if you can't get over it have a little piece like Miss Mac suggests and move on .... I prefer nuts over chocolate now

    NSV!

@Miss Mac ...nope...my DH takes up about 3/4 of the bed and I hang on to the edge ...and our three dogs snuggle in the "gaps" LOL
  18. One of the things I got was a corset for my Renaissance outfit... I used to wear a BIG ol' dress...now I wear a fitted corset with leggings and boots!!! I feel kind of sexy wearing it I want to get another pair of boots and try with leggings and a long top too... I used to love that look "back in the day" when you used slouch socks (age teller???) My friends and DH are constantly telling me to get rid of stuff that's too baggy, but it's still hard to let go... I'm not a big clothes shopper/hoarder so we shall see what the future brings... I am going to start going to yoga...so let's see if I get a real outfit or just wear sweats!

    NSV!

I'll have to try them...my friend said they are having a big sale...but I figured there wouldn't be anything for me... Thanks for the incentive!

I attended pre op and still attend post op meetings... I really don't have questions planned...I have a notebook in case something comes up that I want to make sure I don't forget Especially for the first class, you may want to listen...I'm sure something will come up that you will have a question on
  22. BigGirlPanties

  25. U may be trying to do too much too soon. Keep it simple...walking is always a good starter. Even hand weights could be too much until you heal inside and out! Good luck
