  10. So, I have just experienced the stomach flu after being sleeved....just gotta say "this sucks!" Don't get me wrong, it's not like I have ever enjoyed having the flu but I'm pretty sure I am dehydrated.... Lost 3 pounds overnight!!! Scheduled Dr appt for tomorrow morning to get checked. This is my second day in a row that I can't keep anything down. I keep sipping on Gatorade & not sure what else to do. I pray that I never have to experience this again!

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call

I just want to say "thank you" to all the Sept Sleevers.... It's so good to know I'm in the same boat and not alone.
  16. LOL- should say best interest
  17. No Laura, not you, just in general in most posts. I know people are looking out for others beat interest & I completely understand that. I just feel that we really need a reality check once in a while & WLS is a tool. To say that you're never going to ever have something, like a diet soda, or whatever, is unrealistic.....maybe I'm just having a reality check kinda day
  18. I forgot to add that soda was not on my approved list & I waited til I was approximately 6 mos pot op.
  19. Ok, enough brow beating for goodness sake. If you want a diet soda every once in a while, my Dr's advice, don't deny yourself. Treat yourself with a reward every once in a while. The surgery is a tool but we are human. We all have cravings & to deny yourself is basically not being realistic. I put lots of ice in mine & let it get watered down a bit or you can leave it sit out without the lid on to get flat. I can only drink a small amount & find once I've satisfied my craving I'm good again for quite a while.
  20. I don't consider myself a newbie anymore & I don't consider myself a vet yet. Guess I'm stuck in that rather odd stage like a kid in middle school. I hope that I've helped some of the newbies & I hope I've learned some lessons from the vets Well, my 6 mos Surgiversary was March 4th (hard to believe).... I am proud to announce my 56 lb weight loss & hitting my goal, plus losing an 3 extra pounds, bringing my weight to 121. I am in a size 5/6 pants & Med shirt. Best of all, I feel GREAT! I am sad the honeymoon phase is over & that I am now in the next phase- Maintenance!!! I seem to fluctuate 2 pounds up & back down again (I hate yo-yo'ing) I have not lost any additional weight in weeks, UGH! I truly hate stalls but my Dr thinks my body has reached a place it's happy with. If that's the case, then I'm going to have to be happy with it, but I'm not!!! So, I would like to hear from others who are 6 mos out or beyond. Are you happy with your success so far? Disappointed in your loss? What are you eating at this point? Do you change it up? Getting all your fluids and protein in? So many questions, so much to still learn.
  21. Moms3boys- you'll get there...stay focused & keep up the great work!
  22. Slojo- great job! Keep up the hard work, it's paying off
  23. Taking control- I just wanted to say thank you for not being judgmental....I just didn't want you to think I wasn't happy at 121.
  24. Oh how I wish I could. We all understand what you're going thru and it's completely normal.
