  1. I am two years post op to the day. I lost 122 pounds total but found 13 since my 1 year post op appt. I am 1 pound away from an "obeses" BMI again. (which really sucks because I am 149 at 5'5") My biggest struggle right now is the munchies. I drive 100 miles to and from work (200 miles round trip) and especially on the way home all I think about it eating. I bring healthy Snacks with me for the way home but they don't last very long. I try to give myself landmarks of when I can eat the next snack but that doesn't' work too well. I listen to talk radio for the company to try and get my mind off food, got internet radio so I can listen to comedians and all I think about is food. I do my elliptical every other night which is a struggle because I absolutely hate to exercise (topic for another thread). Need suggestions, help, support on getting rid of these munchies. I absolutely can not let myself go back from where I came. My 'skinny' clothes are already not fitting right and I refuse to go out and buy new stuff again.

  2. Wow u too have done great! I am slightly jealous haha...i started at 280 and im only at 192...blah..only ten pounds in 4 months.

Oh well better that then gaining. I did want to be at 100 by my year mark which is on 9/5.

New goal is to be under 190 at my year visit with the surgeon on the 23rd.

I have started looking into plastics..anyone else? I want my boobs and stomach...maybe thighs but i dunno if i want to go through that pain!

I want it "all done baby! ". But the wallet has other ideas. I have to have a hernia repaired eventually so hopefully can have that and a Tummy Tuck at the same time!

  3. I've missed you all. This is our month!!!

I can't believe it's been a year!!! It's been great having you all as encouragement and support! Everyone has done a great job! Now we have to work towards the next year. I'm a Sept 12th girl!!

I started out at 241 and now at 123!!! God I hope I can maintain this!

That's my biggest fear. So many people say ow proud they are of me, I tell them this was the easy part and they can be proud when I'm this weight next year!

  4. barisa i am doing all of that. im so confused right now. i lowered my cals went back to soft foods to see what happens than go back up to higher cals. i am not workingout because my workout burns up to 1000 cals per hour and im diong way under that for the next few days. sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I just threw your situation out to my Facebook community and they agree, you are not eating enough to support all that exercise.

I think you need to eat more if you are doing all that exercise! It sounds like you may not be giving your body enough fuel to maintain that kind of workout and your body is in starvation mode. Do you use "My Fitness Pal"? When you log your exercise, you immediately get more calories to eat. It may sound strange but I really think you are not eating enough. You have to eat to loose weight. Have you spoken to your nut about it? Why don't you try the "MFP" for a week an eat more to compensate for the exercise. What do you have to loose "except the weight"! (sorry, couldn't resist) Let me know what happens. I am really curious to figure out what is going on.

  6. Ladies, are you all still getting in at least one Protein Shake a day? I swear, that is what makes or breaks you. My surgeons office says we should have one a day forever! Protein, protein, protein. You have to make sure you get your protein in. I slip up more than I care to admit but I always get my protein in. Plus, the exercise is so important. And this coming from the president of the "I hate to exercise" club! I do 35 minute on the elliptical every other day (for the most part). I hate it but I make myself do it. I also try and track all my food on My Fitness Pal. My name is barisaxylady on there too if you want to add me. We can do this ladies! We had MAJOR surgery! Work the tool the good surgeon gave you!

  7. I'm sitting here at my support group and they keep reminding us to follow the rules. We are 9 months out and I think most of us, myself included, are possibly getting a little over confident. I'm getting the binder that my surgeons office gave me and am going to remind myself of the rules. The people I know who are 2, 3, 4 years out and maintaining still are following the rules. I want to maintain, I don't want to be one of those who gain it back. Lets commit to each other to go back to basics and remember the rules we were given and not just be a statistic, be the success stories!

  8. When does it stop I'm 3 months post op

Hmm. Can't remember when the daily noise stopped but I had a bite of my husbands burger last night and my stomach howled for a while over it (I've got to remember my sleeve doesn't like ground meat, it really was just a small bite to taste too!) and I'm 8 months post op but I'm sure everybody is different. As long as its not painful, I wouldn't worry about it.
