  2. Hey everyone I am definitely still far far away from my goal but i am just wondering whether there is anyone who feel cant be bothered to go on a date after the surgery? I know its a very silly question to be asked but after since i have my surgery and have been losing weight, i have not really adapt to my new body. Simply put i just feel still much going on with me to the point i cant be bothered to focus on anything else. My doctor only tell me about the benefit / risk of the surgery, but no one explain to me about the psychological effect from losing massive smount of weight and adjusting to new body ( especially for me who have been fat since i was a kid haha). Sorry again for the stupid question .. AnywAy thanks for reading it and all the best for all of u!
  3. Hi I'm meilinda and i live in hong kong at the moment. I'm 27 years old and i just had my sleeve on the 17 august 2012. I'm looking for girls who are within my age range who interested in forming a chat group .. Hopefully we can all support each other, share ideas or even tell stories about the difficulties that you encounter after the weight lost. Hopefully at the end we all can be friends as well Anyway, all the best for fellow sleever all around the world!
  4. seriously .. i'm starting to gain weight even tho i'm still on a semi liquid diet. Is this normal??? After i'm out from the hospital with my severe dehydration, i gained like 4 kg. this is nightmare.
  5. i am still having a very lazy life style cuz i have an open surgery instead of a laparoscopic (key hole) surgery, so my surgeon still doesn't allow me to exercise just yet. but i active in general. drive, do my grocery, walk my pets etc.
  6. I'm in the same boat as well .. after 15 kg down only less than a month, i hit a stall. it has been 3 freaking weeks without me losing anything! even worst, I gained a kilo. i eat less than 900 calorie per day (all liquid based - cuz i have a problem with my ulcer so i'm still with liquid since my surgery which was on 17th august). Anyway .. the stall is made me pissed and i don't understand how can a person who eat that little, all liquid, end up gain a kilo . pfft ... i hope this over soon.
  7. Hi All I just did my surgery on the 17th August 2012. Since then, I've lost 15 kg. Mostly because I had a major swelling and some other complication which made me had to go 2 endoscopy and another surgery after my sleeve. Please do not take my incident as a normal sleeve gastrectomy procedure, because mine is a bit unique since I used to have a gastric balloon before. Anyway, I've been on a liquid diet since the surgery until now (almost 2 months now). My doctor suggest to start eating porridge etc in 2 weeks time. Anyway, after such a rapid lost, I've hit a stall. I've realized that my weight has not decreased for the last 3 weeks .. in fact I GAINED A KILO! (i know its only a kilo, but for a day, i only eat as below and it kinda scares the sh*t out of me how i manage to gain weight. - 2 X 200cc low fat milk - 300 cc Protein drink with 300++ calorie and 20 protein - liquid multi Vitamins - 300 cc Soup (varies .. sometimes just mushroom soup, clear soup, chicken broth soup) and if i feel like it .. steam fish with its soup (sometime tom yum soup, miso soup, or steam fish with soy sauce) - 200 cc juice (varies between banana, guava, strawberry, avocado etc) I do not snack nor drink soda. Anyone, help??? How do I start dropping again???
  8. 1 week after post-op, I feel extremely thirsty. Kinda feels like I just had a long marathon and all I want to do is to drink lots of cold fresh water. Anyone suffer the same????
  9. Ok good to know .. might as well enjoy this rapid weight loss as long as I can then! haha thanks
  10. Hi All I had a surgery on the 17th August with a 110kg starting weight. As per 26th August 2012, I weighed 101.2kg. Am I losing too much in such a short period of time? Despite the fact that I generally lost weight easily, another trigger is because I'm still vomiting and have been having problem to drink 120 cc per hour. My surgeon has prescribed something to help with the nausea 2 days back. However I kinda get infected by my sister's cough, so every time I cough heavily, suddenly the liquid got out as well. Improvement been made since yesterday, I have been really thirsty and able to take more and frequent sips and the coughing is much better. Thanks

    Anxiety

At first, I'm totally psyched about getting sleeve. Unfortunately, a week before the surgery, I started to panic. I can't eat properly, I have mood swings, I only sleep 1.5 hours every night and cried during work house in the office wash room . To think about it, what keep me going is to really dig deep into myself and ask "why on earth am i doing this?" .. for me the answer is simple, one day I want to start a family. What about u? But of course, I am really grateful that I have all the support system that I need and keep me going. My families, friends, and colleagues supports me every step of the way. I used to be such an aloof, go to surgery myself and 3 months from now just suprise my friends in hoping to hear "OMG u look amazing!". As tempting as it sounds , there are some things that you just can't go through alone. So find the best support system that u have in your life and go from there. Wish you all the best!
