I agree they can give you zofran and even Valium for nausea. Stay away from all dairy for a week and see if that is what causing it. Lots of people can't handle dairy after this. I couldn't handle Protein Shakes I switched over to Isopure sickly sweet so I diluted with Water but, they don't make me gag or give me diarrhea. Prayers for you.

I really don't have that much of a diet plan--like I said' date=' my surgeon's plan is "do the best you can" with no specific goals. I try to get Protein in first and drink a lot. I am behind on progressing the diet due to some early complications. I would prefer a specific X grams of Protein, X calories, and X carbs or less, but for whatever reason my surgeon's office is vague and evasive when I ask. From the tone of your post it sounds like I am not losing at the rate that one would expect.
Can you share what your daily goals are regarding Fluid, protein, carbs, calories and exercise? Thank you for your advice![/quote']
Do you have a nutritionist you can defer to? They are much more helpful in getting you on the best program goals for you

I feel like I'm a science experiment and it's people that are size 5 who ask what my starting weight is.

I would like to get close to a size 10. I started at 241 and a size 22 and Im now at 190 and a size 16. My surgeons goal weight for me is 175 and my personal goal is 150. Im 5'7" so I don't know how Ill look when I hit 150.I started at 141 and am 190 and my goal is a size 10 also I'm in a 18 now but I am 5ft so it's ginna take a while to get there surgeons goal for me is 120

Or my second favorite question what was your starting weight? How rude!

I have been very open with the fact I was having the wls but, now every time I see or talk to anyone within the first 5 minutes I get " the question" how much have you lost. It's very annoying just don't see why they can't say hey you look great and leave it.

I wouldn't say clots are major I ended up with 3 if you take care of them do what they say it's more of a maintenance issue.
-
I have never heard of this. Is it something were supposed to do?I think every dr is different. I only had to start them after I got my clot I use them and take Coumadin I will be on them for the next 5 months.

I did it for myself. It wasn't a big deal' date=' but lovenox does leave some amazing bruises, so be prepared for that. I switched sides morning and night and varied the injection sites, but it was all basically low on my belly. I did shots for 4 days before and 2 weeks after surgery. One word of advice, if your doctor will give you the shots to take home, TAKE THEM. Even with my good insurance, the copay worked out to between 75 and 100 per shot.[/quote']My copayment is 10$ for a weeks worth. I have Cigna. Definitely check with your insurance because they are crazy expensive without it.
-
I take lovanox twice daily they come pre filled IRS easy and they don't hurt you will be bruised from them though.

It's been up and down I had a few complications but, still would do it over again. He is ready he took his ore-op diet more serious than I did he's lost 35lbs in 3 months.

I will be on at least 6 months and anything high in Vitamin k makes your blood thicker and makes the Coumadin less effective. So its not forever just a bit.
-
Congratulations and good luck to you both!!Thanks I was sleeved sept 4.

Nov 12 my husband starts his journey and I am so happy we are going to support each other and be role models for our family to be happy, healthy, and active.

I think they're not allowed for the OP because she's taking Coumadin for clots.
My lack of banana is due to medication not the sleeve. Still a bummer I love bananas.
