Congrats! I actually have 19 lbs to go and was thinking the same thing this morning.. not sure how I will feel when I do finally get goal, I feel like I've been battling weight for so long, I will truly be feeling confused, kind of like "OK now what?" -

My aunt tried to talk me out of it, she actually called me at work so my supporters (my husband and my mom) wouldn't hear her. I listened and then never discussed it with her again. I decided that it was easier just to not talk to her about it until after I had the WLS. Funny thing is-- now she says it's the best decision I've ever made. Ha!! Good Luck do what's best for you! It's YOUR body, it's YOUR health, and it's YOUR decision! -

I have always had issues with low iron, and RNY would only make that worse -- so I went with the sleeve and I am super happy that I did! -
I'm an Administrative Assistant, but I will start Nursing school in September.

Congrats! I started the whole process in May 2012 with a seminar, finally got to meet with the surgeon and nutritionist in July, went thru all requirements and was sleeved 10/10/12. It was the best decision I ever made! BTW -- my seminar was pretty even between men and women. Good Luck! -
