Dee, I'm sorry to hear about the lady who passed, but I doubt seriously it had anything to do with the band. I've been banded for more than 4 years and I love my band.

I'd be interested to know how healthy this person was. It sounds more like this person may have had a blood clot or something related to having surgery period, but that being said, I'm NOT a doctor.

You'll be fine, just follow the directions of your surgeon, get in lots of protein and take care of yourself. You've got to move around after the surgery, that's so important.

Thank you, it was uneventful, except I got a knot on my head as I was bumping 60, hahaha.

Sorry, no idea, other than equity line. Fortunately, I had funds available. I have a niece that is looking for a way to pay for hers too, if you have any luck, please let me know.
