Going today to get banded
HarleyNana replied to Yaherd's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yaherd, good luck today, sorry you got worried. You'll do great. Hope to hear from you soon and welcome to bandland! -
Hellewwwwwo, where is everyone? Hope everyone is having fun and A-OK. Talked to Betty yesterday, it's going to be June 1 before she gets her new computer. She's such a sweetheart. Hugs to you all.
-
Thanks for sharing, I have had one since my banding date, I've used it at Golden Corral, but that's the only place. Fortunately, GC is NOT one of my favorite places to eat.
-
Kat, here's a big hug for you! You've got a lot on your plate, I wish you the very best. Betty called last night, her computer crashed and she won't have one until Friday, she said to tell everyone hello and she misses us . Gotta run, ttyl

Congrats on the band anniversary. My doctor likes to check out the band on each anniversary. I'm sure they won't have a problem honoring that request. Congrats on the weight loss too. Happy Mothers Day to you too.

My hubby purchased a Wii a few weeks ago, I had no idea they offered a fitness program. I'll be looking for that one. Thanks for sharing.

Happy Mothers Day Gals! Jetti, aren't you looking HOTT Sherri, I love the smoothie Tums too, they're harder to find now too, loved it when they sold the huge bottles at costco and Sams. I don't get the sour taste at night, just that ache in the middle of my back, so I pop a couple of Tums, and it instantly goes away. Mandy, you must be doing much better, going to the zoo, wtg. Diane, when I lose a post like that, I hit the back arrow at the top of the page or the forward arrow and I can usually find my post..:tt1: Eileenie, did you get that fill? I got the bill for my last fill, which was last May, $850.00, and my insurance company denied it, because it wasn't filed until March!!!! Looks like me and the doctor's office will be talking. We're going to the LPGA in KingsMill today, that's golf for you cuties that didn't know, we've got tickets in the press box, overlooking the 18th hole. Last year they had booze, yesterday, all they had was beer and wine, YUK! My husband said it was because I got so drunk last year, they stopped serving the hard stuff....WTH. Hugs to all!

What made you choose Lapband?
HarleyNana replied to BeckyinTn's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I knew lapband was for me, not only is it reversible, but surgery was not as invasive. The fact all foods are digested as before, and all vitamins and minerals are absorbed is another plus. RNY was never an option for me. Oh yes, recovery time for lapband was also a big plus. -
Good Morning Gal Pals Well, I guess we'll settle down at home this month, seems like we were gone the entire month of April. I'm ready to get my pool open and do some serious fishing  Jetti, what a wonderful NSV, I don't even run to get the phone, boobs are still so big, I'd bruise my chin if I did. Betty....no Betty checking in this weekend, must be busy partying. Speaking of partying, anyone tried a Margaretta Sunrise, I hear they're very good. Diane, it was so good to talk to you Saturday morning. I enjoy our long talks . Sherry, I'm a fair weather rider, I've only riden in the rain one time in 11 years, and that was because it was a surprise downpour, I was scared chitless . Mandy, I took the course too, I think it should be mandatory for everyone that rides to take it, especially those that are "experienced" and think they know it all. One of the things I learned is using the front brake, my hubby NEVER uses his front brake. I'd never riden anything with two wheels, besides a bicycle, when I took the course. My youngest son was in a panic, he still worries about me, well I worry about me too. I hadn't riden in almost three years until last weekend. Check out the flying arms..that's what happens when the fat doesn't fill them out anymore. Eileenie, I'm so sorry about your doggy  Kat, the hubby's a keeper for sure. I was getting a new diamond, but fruggal me decided I'd rather put the money into the ground....in the form of a pool. For a little more than the hunk of diamond I wanted, we're putting a pool in at our cottage, but I'm still on the hunt for a great deal on a 2.5-3 carat diamond ...at a great price :wink2:. Diane, I was 47 when I took the MC class :biggrin2:. Kat, hop back on that cycle, it will make you feel younger, and scared at the same time, LOL.

Hey girlies, I see you Diane, Sherry, and Kat . Hope everyone is ok, so much to catch up with, I've missed everyone. Well, I just downed 4 Ducolax tablets and since 4:00 PM, I have drunk/drank 5- 20oz Gatorades, three with Miralax, yum! I go for my colonoscopy tomorrow, can't wait, LOL. Eileen, sorry about your doggy. Kat, how is your daughter? Sherry, may I borrow your post, you pretty much caught up on all the girls...."ditto". Diane, I think of you every time I eat my cheese crunchies :blushing:, and I'll think of you tonight when I'm having my dinner of a Popsicle. Gotta run, and I do mean run....later

JaJva, I know what you mean about the want something good to eat, I'd love a great, big juicy BLT, with lots of mayo. GSmith, walking, walking, walking, really helps with getting rid of the gas, plus it's good for you. When I recently had my TT I think it helped me heal a lot quicker. I didn't have tummy pain, but my left shoulder ached for months. Welcome to Lapband and I wish you luck on your new journey. Diane, long time no hear from, gonna give ya a call.
-
Sherry, I'm so sorry I missed your birthday Sherry . Hope your day was as special as you are! Kat, sorry about the headaches and delays, hang in there cutie! Patty, so nice to see you peeking in. Mandy, cute pictures. Betty, glad you missed the storm damage. Diane, when do you go for another fill? By the way, I'm in Ft Lauderdale, enjoying the g-r-e-a-t weather. Wish you guys were here. Hugs all around.

Tamj, there's a huge difference, I can't imagine everyone NOT saying how great you look. -
Kat, it's been a few days now get your a$$ back in here, or I'll get the monkeys from Mandy and send them out for you! Mandy, good to see you back. Sherry, we have more than one monkey! Diane, call me when you get a chance to gab, sorry I forgot to call you on the way home the other day, gosh that was Thursday, I think, LOL. Anyway, call me. Well girlies, I've purchased airline tickets for Ft Lauderdale next week, but we may switch to this week since it's supposed to rain everyday, but Thursday this week. I so need some Vitamin D..by way of sunshine! I'm realllllly gonna finish getting my tax stuff together today, I'm so tired of all this chit sitting all over my desk. It seems every year it takes longer and longer. Betty, I'm going to a bike rally in Nags Head, NC, the end of April, my husband is going to give me a refresher course on how to ride, OMG, it's been two years since I've driven my Harley. I'll be the oldest woman rider there, LOL.
-
Jetti, you noticed I said "when", not "if", proud of ya girl, keep on losing.
-
Jetti, that's what I did, I set little..reachable goals. The first few were about pounds, then I gained a lot of muscle, so the weight loss wasn't what I expected or hoped for, but I was changing clothes size. My last goal was 12's now I'm in some 10's, yahoo. When you reach that goal, let me know, I'll dance that jigg with you.
-
Kat, I'm so sorry your'e having such a rough time, forget my birthday, it's just another year, lol, NOT a big deal, trust me, at my age, NOT a big deal. Hope you're feeling better. Sherry, Tom who, LMAO, sooo glad I haven't dealt with that sucker for such a long time, don't miss him at all . Oh today was beautiful, still working on taxes, took a break around 2:00, hubby and I went out on the boat, went to the local Marina, had salad and shrimp basket, then finished it up a few minutes ago. It was 80 degrees today, supposed to be 52 tomorrow, yuk. Take care all, Jetti, when's that trip?
-
Kat, where are you? I can always count on you being here everyday. Hope you're ok.
-
Thanks friends for all the birthday wishes. Went to Outback for dinner, yummmm. I like Diane's idea of celebrating all week. Diane, don't shoot me, I forgot to call you on the way home. Call me tomorrow anytime. I don't think I'm working tomorrow, I worked a couple of hours today, ahhhh, semi retired, loving it. Went for gastro consultation today, colonoscopy scheduled Apr 30, wth, I got to wait ANOTHER month. Oh well, guess they're not too concerned, but ya still worry :tongue_smilie:.

February/March 08 plastics
HarleyNana replied to losingjusme's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I didn't have hip lipo, but the flanks, (bra area), and I started sleeping on side within a week. My ps surgeon said sleep was more important than which way I slept. Karey, thanks for the support and suggestions. -
February/March 08 plastics
HarleyNana replied to losingjusme's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Karey & Christina, can't remember which one of you posted pictures of your "parts" removed, but I asked to see mine, OMG! The sections were much larger than I had expected, in fact my tummy was in two 1/2 sections, and the breast was more than I expected too. When i go back for my after pictures in May I'm going to ask for copies while I'm with the picture lady. I told my PS how disappointed I was with my breast and he said it was the best he could do because of the previous reduction and issue with the way the nipples were reattached. You'd think they were all put back the same way. OK, I was in a gabby mood this AM, sorry. -

I had two undissolvable stitches, one at each of the two drainage tubes. Neal, I see your delima, but I'm sure the Dr.'s office will gladly refund your money, rather than be reported for double dipping.
