  1. You can do this. One question though - what area Kaiser are you a member of? California, Ohio, Mid-Atlantic? I ask because I am in the Mid-Atlantic and there is definitely a weight list for the surgery. So, once I got my approval from the board, there was about a 6 month wait before being scheduled for surgery. I just realized I spelled it the first time "weight", which I guess is also true.

I am a Kaiser patient...I had my surgery October 2012 and at almost 6 mos out, am down 75lbs. It really does work - BUT - it is also a lot of work. I work out EVERY day, which I never did before...And, I still track everything I eat. Good luck!

  2. This was a good post for me to read... I am a carboholic - breads, pasta and french fries... I get sleeved on MOnday and really hope that I lose my desire for carbs... I *think*. I don't know if it would be better to keep my desire and lose the ability to eat, or just lose the taste for it... I think it would be safer if I just didn't like warm bread and butter anymore...

  3. I get that feeling... I am approved for surgery, but still on the waiting list... I thought when I began this process, that by now - July - I would have already had the surgery and there would be far 'less of me'... With summer being unbearably hot... nothing fits, and I refuse to buy more 'fat clothes'... I am trying hard NOT to give into depression and EAT. Ya know? :o(
