I'm drinking/eating very small amounts at one time, so I've had to spread my Protein over most of the day. There is no way I can get all of the "recommended" daily amounts in just three meals. I'm not trying to keep up with the ideal eating regime just yet, as my sleeve still seems too small or swollen to take much at one time. I'm just trying to go with the flow and let my new tummy heal up, and get my protein in when I can.

I am doing mine once a week. I started my pre-op diet on a Tuesday and took my measurements then and just decided I would continue to take them every Tuesday.

Hmmm didn't see that one.

I can completely relate to what you are going thru. It's still fresh in my mind, since I just had my revision on the 4th. (two weeks tomorrow) Our imaginations are such overactive lil buggers. I had imagined all sorts of bad things, when I should have been imagining all the good things. My mind was doing a lot of "what if's" (which by the way I have started a petition to remove from the english language ) I know it isn't easy but try and come to peace with your decision and feel good about all the wonderful things on your horizon. BTW After I got to the hospital, spoke with all the doctors and nurses and had my pre-op tests I calmed down a lot. A doctor told me before surgery "if you aren't nervous..... then you aren't normal". Big hugs to you all and good luck with your upcoming surgeries!!!!

Well I may be crazy.... but nonetheless........ I do remember reading a post of yours saying you had gotten the funding you wanted and could now have surgery with Baja..... is that the post you're looking for?

Don't worry about that.... I think most of us read "typo". Just glad to hear you are feeling better.

If it's the same as a lap band, sliming is when the opening to your stomach is very tight and your body thinks something is caught so it over produces saliva to try and wash away the obstruction, causing your mouth to fill with saliva. I had this happen countless times with the band but not with my sleeve, but only had surgery on the 4th. Maybe you are having some swelling around your sleeve that is causing the tightness and sliming.

Thanks so much for your help. Relating your experiences makes me feel so much better..... I must have done too much yesterday. It still hurts like a mother, so I'm babying myself until it goes away. Eventhough it was good...... at this point I'm not sure going to see "The Avengers" was such a good idea...... although during the movie I was feeling pretty good looking at all that beefcake. LOL

I woke up this morning with lots of pain on my left side, much more than I have had since first having surgery. I thought I was getting a little bit better everyday until whammy this happened and it feels like I'm back to day one or two. I had surgery 5/4/12, so it's been 12 days. Is this normal or has anyone else had this happen? Two things I did different yesterday..... a lot more walking (went to the movies in the mall and it was a long walk) and started Prilosec for bad reflux. Any info you might have or experienced would really help, I'm kinda freaking that I did something to myself. Isn't it past the time leaks and things happen?

I'm in my second week too.... yeah us My main source of protein is a protein drink by EAS. It is low fat, carbs and sugars. I get 17g of protein and drink three a day. (plus they help with my fluid intake) I've also had some tomato soup made with FF milk, some really runny refried beans with FF cheese, SF pudding and I'm still having SF popcycles. My doctor said don't be in a hurry to get to a more solid diet, so I'm taking his advice. Gonna try some cream of wheat later.

I took mine right before surgery too and was so shocked. What I saw in the mirror and what the camera saw were two different people. I'm so glad I did this and you will be too. Best of luck on Monday, I'll be pulling for ya

Sorry you are going thru such horrible nausea.... that must be horrible. Is the doctor giving you anti-nausea meds? My doctor started mine in my IV before surgery and continued them until I was discharged. I didn't have any nausea. Hang in there....... Big hugs!

Wow oh wow, what a great weight loss on liquids. You must have been so focused. Best of luck on your upcoming surgery..... if your pre-op diet is any indication you are going to do amazing when you get your sleeve. Keep us updated
