Thank you so much for sharing this. You are not alone. I'm sure many of us have gone through this. Myself include. I take shots all the time from the people closest to us. My grandmother, "bless her heart", told me I should stop eating before I start rolling out the door. Although, she meant no harm and maybe just her way of alerting me that I was running into a major weight problem. The comment was very hurtful. That's just one of many examples. Anyway, I am so happy for you and wish you the best on your journey.
As far as work is concerned, if it starts to stress you too bad, that may be something you have to change to. Maybe your new body image will give you more confidence to move on and get the job you really deserve. Sometimes self image blocks us from the things that we deserve in life. Our low self esteem allows us to put up with things we wouldn't normally accept if we felt better about ourselves. (just a thought). Good luck!!! And Congratulations!!!
