  6. As mentioned above,,you are only human. You will have days like this. Just get back on track and try to walk a bit more, or workout or whatever you do, and don't worry another minute about it. Just make sure to give out ALL the candy to trick or treaters so you won't have any left to eat Halloween night!!

GET. OUTTA. HERE!!!!!! Where did you go? You look fantastic!! Great job
  14. I also left behind a 3 year old and it was hard, but I knew it was what was best for me and for her too, in the long run. It's hard running after an active child when you get out of breath just walking across the room. You will do great, and as already mentioned, you will love Dr. Aceves and his whole staff. Good luck to you!

    I made my goal!

Congrats on a job well done! Thanks for sharing your story with us!!
  16. You are doing so well, don't let this little blip on the radar get you down. You have a lot going on and I think you are amazing for being able to handle it all. Getting up at 4am? I applaud you. The fact that you have figured out what is going on with your diet tells me you will be able to get it under control. I wish you good luck. And sorry about your break-up!

    Hit goal!

WOW! You do look fabulous! Congrats on reaching your goal. That also happens to be my goal. Can't wait!
  18. I so agree! I have found myself making better food choices even where there is perfectly yummy junk food laying right there I also agree with the savoring each thing I eat now. When you can eat so little, you learn to really taste every thing.
  19. A super low carb diet can affect memory and concentration. Your brain needs some carbs to function properly. The ADA says you need 130 g of carbs, but there have been people to argue that number. I personally think that is just absurdly high. I have read where a third of that is more than adequate. Just ask your nutritionist. Moderation is key. Don't pig out on carbs and don't cut them out completely and you should be just fine. Good luck to you!

    Hair Loss Finish Line?

Slow loss does sometimes determine if you lose your hair or not. My mother had the lapband 3 years ago and lost only 75 pounds in those 3 years. She didn't lose her hair at all. She just got sleeved at the end of September, so I told her to get ready, cause she won't lose weigt that slowly this time around. I do think you may lose hair at a slower rate if you are losing weight slower, though.
  21. I am almost 7 months out and I have a fuller feeling in my tummy longer with denser Protein, too. As mentioned above. I never have a real hunger though. I feel lucky cause I think I don't have a teency bit of ghrelin left. I know it can be made in different parts of the body, but I honestly never want to eat. When I'm at a gathering and everyone is eating, that is about the most tempted I am to indulge. Even then, just one or two bites and I'm satisfied. I love my sleeve!

    Hair Loss Finish Line?

I started losing hair right around June 1st (almost 3 months out for me) and by September 1st (6 months out), I was only losing a few strands more than normal a day. I lost between 1/3 and 1/2 of my volume of hair. I have a little over an inch of new growth coming in. Thanks goodness. So, I would say 3 solid months of losing (June and July were the HEAVY loss months and August was steady but less loss). This seems about right according to what I have read, that the hair has 3 month cycles. So, it took 3 months for it to start falling out, then 3 months of losing, then it stopped. Everybody is different though. Some never lose and some lose longer. Sounds like you may be over the hump, though! For new sleevers who may be wondering, nothing will keep it from falling out, but there are things that will help the new growth. Some use Biotin with luck in the re-growth department. I did buy Nioxin shampoo/conditioner/thickener, but like I said, those do not prevent loss, they just make the hair appear/feel thicker. They claim to also help prepare the scalp for new growth. Not sure about that, but the thickener spray really made my hair look fuller.
