This is a lie, you WILL eventually be able to eat everything you are eating now, post op. Some of them won't be right away and some might be a few years out, but like anything - nothing lasts forever. Work on getting your head straight, this is a mind game!
You are in my prayers, for sure.

Hi ya! I'm 2 yrs 2 months post op. I reached goal 6 months ago and have been holding pretty steady until this last month. I made a goal not to gain weight (which i do every holiday) this winter. I've been sticking to low carb which has suited me well thus far and i've lost an additional 5lbs this month.
    Breakfast
    1 egg, 2 bacon, 1/2 toast
    snack motz cheese
lunch roast beef 3oz and brocolli 1 oz
    Snack cottage/motz cheese
dinner grilled chicken (or other protien) and veggies
I drink coffee all through the day and use cream and ideal sweetner, sometimes i use vanilla (not sugar free or fat free) Creamer 5tbs.
When I eat I start with protien first then work my way around. I eat until I feel satisfied not full and then I make sure Im active. Don't buy what you shouldn't have. chips are my downfall so I don't buy them.
I have Snacks and sweets a few times a week that don't fit in with low carb (ie a doughnut last night) but for the majority of the time I focus on protien first.

I adore Aceves! I'm below goal, the hospital was the cleanest I have ever been in, everything went so smoothly. I wouldn't go to anyone, anywhere in the world, over Aceves!

I'd get a second opinion. Having no nipples seems crazy and no matter how big her breast were or how much tissue that shouldn't make a difference. Shamr0ck, I'd love to see your pre/post op pics. I'm planning on a lbl soon.

SouthernSleever got a reaction from kmwheel in Just Wondering....has Anyone Reached Goal Without Any Exercise?
I hate exercise if you talk about running on a treadmill for an hour or whatever. I do, however, have a very active lifestyle. I am a housekeeper so I do housekeeping for about 6-12 hours a week and I've grown to love hula hooping and tried rowing and I spend about 2hrs give or take with those. You won't find me in a gym but I do stay active.

Yeah you are going to a private hospital that has security and is exceptionally clean with blood banks and ICU. Others with lower prices are in stripmalls and don't have a great rep like Dr Aceves is. My health is so worth it!

You are 5 months out, why are you still doing shakes? Those won't keep you full as much as solid foods. I'd go more low carb and if you insist on doing shakes Premier Protein is the best.

If they go south after the surgery they were already pointed in that direction Hun. Sometimes relationships change, for many reasons, but if weightless kills it, it just wasn't one to begin with

Yep, never thought I would be considered "small" but I loved anything that I lost. I remember saying if I never go past size 14 I'll be happy, and I would have been happIER but now that I'm at 4/6 it's even better

I have small children and as far as a reputable hospital, and a great surgeon that's Dr Aceves and the hospital he practices in. I didn't find ANY surgeon in the US who had done as many sleeves as Dr A and certainly none with the low rate of complications. You do get much better care in Mexico. Having done 3 years in nursing school and one in clincals the US hospitals don't hold a candle to what you recieve from Dr A's team. My children are one reason I went to him, I knew I couldn't waste the time on a complication. There are several Surgeons who practice in Cali and Texas. The one I spoke with when I was searching in Tx said their prices are low because they have to compete with the prices in Mexico. What I found out is none could compete with the experience and complication rate.

Hi gals! I'll be 2 years out in October so almost there As far as weight, been there and maintaining SO easily. What can I say about my journey? These have been the best two years of my life What can I say about day to day life? It's amazing. I'd have my sleeve every month if I had to. I started out at 22/24 and now I'm a 4/6. I can only eat a little more than I could a year ago. For dinner I had 1 chicken leg, a bite of green Beans and a bite of potatoes. I have sweets when I want them, I eat whatever I want I just never have those CRAVINGS anymore. I am satisfied with small amounts. So in conclusion, LIFE IS GREAT!
