  1. Hey, looking good. I am down 66lbs had a bit of a stall but hoping that will past soon. No major problems, have to have vitamin D supplements now as I have not been absorbing any but other than that it's all good. We are looking to move to the states now, so all time and energy has been focused on that. We are just in the starting blocks so it's a long road ahead. You look great kee...

  2. Hi everyone, I wanted to take a moment and thank you, each of you. Many times I sit back and am a silent observer. I read your stories and comments and your words, thoughts, and experiences have helped me before, and during this process. The comments I have on my photo album give me strength and keep me going. I only hope that I can offer new and current sleevers that same support. Im six months out today and am down just about 82 lbs. You have all been a part of my journey in one way or another. Good luck everyone, Im here for you all and Im glad were in this together.
  3. you look wonderful

    Made a mistake

I would follow up to just make sure but I think youre at a greater risk of pulling a stitch in your sidewall muscle. Your lifting shouldnt strain the stomach pouch at all. Be careful and dont over do it! Good luck.
  5. Hey there, I found some Demitasse spoons (used for espresso) and some cocktail forks from target.com they are silver and very heavy and nice looking. I like the idea of small utensils but jsut not childish. They work great!
  6. Hi Xandria, thanks for your message. Not been on here much as working so much and everyone in a different time zone lol. I have had a bit of a stall of late i'm afraid, lost 54lbs since sleeved, so you are gradually creeping out in front..not that it's a competition. I feel well in myself but have not really been able to get warm since surgery. What sort of things are you eating and how much. I have found these last couple of weeks that I have been eating more and have had that empty feeling ALOT more lately. Need to get back on track with the excercise, not done ANY for 2-3 weeks as the energy levels have been ridiculously low. Had a blood test to check the vitamin levels, get the results on 06/28. How have you been doing, you sound like you have been doing great, 63lbs wow :w00t: that is something to be proud of xx.

  7. Hi there, I was just thinking of you and wondering how you were doing. Sleeved 2/23 Im down around 63lbs so far. havent had any struggles or issues. Im really happy I made this choice I like living this way. So what about you? Doing well I hope.... :)

  8. :thumbup1:Sure! As of today I am at 27.8lbs now, I really enjoy living with the sleeve. Its funny the only thing I noticed is I get Hiccups alot more than I ever did. I searched it in the forums and so many other people do too. Silly.

Good luck and I hope you are doing well and feeling well

  9. Hey Xandria,

Well done on your loss . We were sleeved the same day and you are just a couple of pounds ahead of me lol. Keep up the good work, would be nice to track our progress together if your up for it :biggrin0:

  10. I am continuing to do wonderfully. Had my first weigh at the 10 day follow up, lost 18 lbs! Sleeved 2/23/10 Dr Chengalis, Royal Oak Beaumont MI
  11. Hi everyone. I made it! I was anxious for nothing the surgery was a breeze. I did come home the first day and sleeeeeep. When I woke I wondered why i did this< did I make the right choice. I feel better today. I actually made it upstairs and showered. SO difficult to eat or get in all my protien I just dont want any food. Its a new feeling for me. I hope this will improve as the swelling goes down. I will say my five inscisions only one feels sore and its not intolerable. I havent even had pain meds since 10am Thursday morning. I will post my success and I am not part ofthe team to help through any newbies. Thanks all. Sleeved 2/23 Dr Chengalis Royal Iak Beaumont Hosp. No wieght loss to post yet. Soon!
  12. Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences and thoughts. I am finding I do have the strength to get through this and I am so looking forward to life after being sleeved. I will update you all when I get home Sleeving: 2/23 Royal Oak Beaumont, MI Dr Chengalis
  13. Hello everyone, I have been reading your posts for about 4 months as I began my process. Ive found alot of information and indirect support through your words. So today I have joined you! My surgery is 2/23/10 at Beamont Hospital in MI. I must admit I am anxious to get on with life post op but the surgery itself has me anxious to knots. Im fearful of the surgery preps ( my first surgery as an adult-had tonsils out at 8yrs) Im worried about the anestesia as well. Can anyone go into detail abouthte actual surgery? what you rememeber? how it felt? what you did to remain calm? Thanks so much and Happy Valentines Day :drool5: Sleeve date 2/23/2010 Current weight 385
