  13. [quote=HelenUK; *whispers* what is a NSV? NSV means Non scale Victory. It is a good/happy feeling from something besides the results we see on the scales.

Do we always have to talk about the sleeve?

Well, I went today for the follow-up maintance for my medical pigmentation for my eye liner top & bottom and my brows. My eye liner was still OK but brows had faded. It had been 5 years since I had had touch up. Unbelievable. She just barely touched the eye liners but I got full deal on my brow. Cost of follow-up was to be $100 for eyes and $100 for brows but since she didn't do allot to eyeliner she only charged $50 for that. So was a deal. Origional cost she said would be $400 for eye liner top & bottom and $450 for brows. I forgot to ask about the lip liner or full lip. So I am all set now. Have to put neosporin on 2 X's day for 4 days and stay out of direct sun for extended length of time for a week. I'm all set now waiting to lose rest of my wt and then on to TT and and my neck. Neck will be 1st, I think. That is what people see. Heck might as well do them together, huh? ha. Get the pain all at once.

    Eating out of controll

Hi, welcome to the forum. Congrats on getting a surgery date. Now you have a specific day to plan for. As far as your eating, I totally understand. I had at least 2 weeks of "last meals" as I called them prior to my pre-op diet. I knew I would never be eating like that again and it was my way of preparing myself for what I was going to be giving up to get my new healthy life. The strange thing is that at the end of the 2 weeks I didn't even want the food. I was sick of eating. My suggestion is to go ahead and have/enjoy your meals but try not to really gorge yourself. It is all a mind game. It will all work out and you will be able to eat everything that you are eating now after your post op diet. Good luck to you and hope to see you here again.

what will i ever be able to eat, and when?

Hi Tandy, I am almost 4 months post surgery. Very very few people know about my WLS. I now can go out and most times can eat without my lack of food that I eat being noticed by others. I can eat 1/2 sandwich, or if Mexican I allow myself 5 chips & salsa and then I can eat either 1 taco or 1 enchalida usually. I fill the time while I am eating slowly etc and others are eating TONS of food with conversation and just dinkin around and watching people and just enjoying the conversation. When at home I weigh out and put 2-3 oz of solid proteion my plate and then have maybe 1/2 cup of steamed veggies. I am "full" at that time. I have felt sad/mourned the lack of being able to eat but then I know I made the right decision with WLS and I move on. This is a learning process. It takes concentrated effort to move through this learning process. It is so worth it tho. I am so happy I have done this. The results are amazing. This first month is the hardest but it will get easier and feel more normal as your progress through the learning curve. Good luck.
