I think I would have been up for a fight too..ever since I left the hospital I have not had the taste for orange crystal light..yuck..I sure ate the heck out of that chicken broth. I was hungry the next day out of surgery and I was asking Size Seven aren't you hungry as she looked green around the gills..obviously her answer was an emphatic "no" but the following day she got back on the program and was hungry too. I guess I've been in "lala" land thinking the first few days would be so easy..as I stated previously it's getting better..I keep thinking about that cute dress hanging in my closet just waiting for me when the time is right! -

You seem to be doing so well and you're only 5 days earlier...what's up with that??!! I'm coming around..today I had jello and it worked wonders!! Never thought I would love the sight of jello..LOL:confused1: -
Hey Tiff..thanks for thinking of me...I'm feeling more upbeat..I was on a real downer yesterday cuz I was starving..I told my family to stay away..but I'm on the upswing now..LOL...it is heck to be hungry!!

Hi Beckie, I'm really down...I'm so hungry I can barely stand it..seems you've come through like a real trooper...on my flight home the airlines was passing out hot sandwiches... I was drooling like a mad dog!!! It can only get better...LOL

Dr Aceves stated tape would fall off after 10 days but def told me no swimming for 15 days:cursing:...I thought if I could lay in swimming pool I could get my mind off of being hungry!!

I'm Debbie (Debking811)..Pam(Size Seven) and I had surgery June 17th and we're doing ok...not as good as we thought!! We're both starving...the surgery went well..loved the hospital, Dr Aceves and Dr Campos but these clear liquid days are H-E-L-L!! I'm sure Size Seven will be on soon..we're just trying to make it till Friday...I get to the point I feel so weak I have to lay down. I'm def not a ninny baby cause I've had a tummy tuck and this surgery was a cakewalk comparatively. I'm taking my B12, Centrum vitamins and as much Isopure I can stomach!! I felt much better today once I had jello...has anyone else had these same feelings their first week?

Hi Beckie, I just got home today..everything went great..I think my surgery was 1 hr 18 min..I used very little pain meds and I loved Dr Aceves and Dr Campos..my stomach keeps growling..I sure would like to eat or so I think!! I am more sore than anything and believe me these first 10 days can't go by fast enough..I would like to get to the mushy stage..loved the Lucerna Hotel..my lastbig meal was steak and lobster..what a way to go...all in all everything went great but I sure am looking forward to about 18 days from now!! Talk to you soon..give me an update on how your doing and what ya been eating...Debbie

Did Everyone get a saddle block with surgery?

I'm having VSG surgery tomorrow and was told there was less pain to have saddle block with anesthesia...I'd like to get feedback...I had epidural with last pregnancy and did not like feeling of it at all..just wondering???? -
Today I'm off to San Diego with my dear friend Size Seven to meet Ernesto!! Our surgery is tomorrow the 17th with Dr Aceves...I will be number 2!! Wish us luck...I am NERVOUS!!!!!!:thumbup1:

Hello, I'm having sleeve surgery on the 17th and was wondering how you got your protein in the first 10 days? Also, do you take liquid vitamins and where's your fav place to purchase these necessities?

I was told pajamas(preferably), chapstick, mouthwash, essential toiletries and shoes with rubber soles. You might want to take a robe too--heard it gets kinda chilly. Nina should have sent email I believe...I'm also taking my laptop and Ipod...guess I'm thinking positive!! Good luck...my surgery is on the 17th! :001_smile: If I've forgotten anything...someone please jump in and respond..

Maybe it's just me but isn't everyone getting tired of hearing about Obama's date that we're paying for and what dog to get for his kids and didn't it take several weeks to decide on a name for the dog. Thank goodness someone finally started helping Mrs Obama pick out a decent dress. Also, how bout Michelle's arms...do they really look any different from anyone else's arms that work out regularly with weights...I thought this cpl in the White House was going to be different...NOT!!!!
