I am 2 years post op vsg and i get it more now than i did initially. Just note what triggers it and learn to avoid those items.

    Dehydration & Strictures

Strictures can happen at any time. I had a double stricture fresh from surgery and opted to let it work itself out on its own. That said...hydration is still an issue for me and i am 2 years post op.
  5. I will be 2 years post op next month. Just made a call to my group about feeling utter and extreme exhaustion. All of my panels have been great so far so its a big surprise to feel this. I've honestly felt great and amazing up until summer hit. Then in the last month its really gotten bad. But...to be fair, my job has me managing the front end of big box store so I average minimum of 5 miles per shift...and 5/6 shifts a week. I get a ton of exercise so thats not it, clearly. I saw my family practice dr today and next week i see my bariatric group for my 2 year check up. I should also say that I have religiously taken all of my vitamins, but gummy ones. That's one thing my RD wants me to change...she wants the pill form not the gummies. She says gummies don't have all of the necessary things in them. This is just my own experience. I love my sleeve.

161 this morning! Let me revise my goal to 159.
  8. This is just to update the last poster....i am 20 months post op, started at 290 and am now at 161. The support there at Park Nicollet is great. So glad i went there and that i can still rely on my nurse there at this stage in the game. DM me if your still curious or need advice.
  9. Well done for you'd hard work. We are of similar height and starting weight. I want to know what was your rate of weight lost per week or month? And what kept you motivated to keep going? Just interested to know. This is the breakdown monthly that i kept for the first year post op. I weigh in regularly, because i feel that it keeps me honest. My tastes have changed since vsg, and i love my greens! I also love to run, but i walk minimum of 40 miles a week for work, so i don't run regularly now at this point. I still stick with a cup of food per meal and can stop when i feel satisfied. I only have 1 Protein bar per day....shakes are not regular at all now...their only as needed, if im sick or out running. My food of choice when out is a salad tho....i keep it simple. Hope this helps!
  10. Here's mine. I am 20 months post op. Started at 290 am now resting at 161. I am 5 feet 8.75 inches tall. Very happy!
  11. I know I'm a little late to this party but its exactly why I stopped coming here. But....as I approach my 2 year post op mark, it's a balance I sometimes struggle with finding. I've come back here to the vets forum recently looking for honest vets I can relate with. After a 10 month break from here I need the support this forum offers.

Weigh in for me this week is 163! Not bad with spending the week camping..thought for sure I'd gain but I didn't! I weigh in on Sunday's, hope you don't mind! So this is the weight for the 15th.
