  1. The same thing has been happening to me! I was sleeved August 3. I lost 24 pounds right away, then it all came to a stop! I would gain 1/2 pound, then lose 1/2 pound, now I am up from 203 to 205! I am only eating about 300-400 calories a day and drinking all the fluids. I can't force myself to eat more or I get sick. I started walking 3 weeks ago, but it isn't doing any good at making my weight go down. I am following Atkins diet only eating protien and soft vegetables. I am watching carb intake to keep it down. I am so frustrated with this. It's been almost 3 weeks since I lost any weight. Please let me know what your nutritionist tells you. Best of luck.
  2. I am walking everyday trying to get through this plateau!

  3. I wish, I wish, the scale would start to move again.....

Stalls: Just because I get it doesn't mean I have to like it

I am one month out today. My stall began last week. My weight has been hovering between 203 and 203.5 this past week. I haven't weighed less than 204 in 3 years. I am thinking this weight is a set point. I am sure there will be other set points where a stall will happen too. It is very frustrating because I am walking and hardly eating anything. I know that I am still losing because my clothes are looser. I hope by this next week, the stall will break through and go below the 200 mark. Wishing really hard!
  6. 1 month post op today and 24 pounds lost!

    Lump Crab Artichoke Bake/Dip

I was having a tough time coming up with foods that would sit well in my stomach when soft foods were introduced. I found something that works well with me and tastes so good! Lump Crab Artichoke Dip warmed up feels so good! 1-8 oz can Lump Crab Meat, 1 cup of Chopped Artichoke Hearts (canned or frozen), 1/2 cup Cheddar Cheese, 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, 1/2 cup light Daisy Sour Cream, 1/2 cup Dukes Mayonaise, Juice of 1 Lemon, 1 tbsp of Fresh Parsley, chopped, 1 Clove of Minced Garlic, Sea Salt and Freshly Cracked Pepper to taste. Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Coat a baking dish with cooking spray. Add the Crab, chopped Artichoke Hearts, Cheddar Cheese, Parmesan Cheese, Sour Cream, Mayonaise, Lemon Juice, and minced Garlic together in a bowl. Season with Sea Salt and Freshly Cracked Pepper, to taste. Pour into the prepared baking dish. Place into the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on the top. Enjoy!
  11. Down 22 since leaving the hospital, can't wait for my jeans to get loose on me.

  12. I made this for when I started on soft foods. Delicious and low carb since I use Duke's mayonaise which has 0 carbs. I don't have a serving size, just eat one tablespoon full and it fills me up. Bring to a boil 6-7 large eggs in a pan with water covering eggs. When boiling begins, turn off stove, remove eggs from heat, put a lid on the pan and let sit 20 minutes. Bring eggs to sink and run cold water over them so peeling will be easier. Dice eggs and place into a bowl. Measure 1 cup of Dukes Mayonaise, 1-2 tablespoons mustard, 1 tablespoon grated onion, 1 teaspoon pickle relish, a dash of salt. Add a dash of cayenne pepper if you want to add some heat. Sprinkle with paprika if desired. Mix with spoon or mixer until blended. Enjoy! I put this on celery for my husband and he loves it!

    Any help would be awesome!

Just stick to the diet so your liver can shrink. That is very important. Keep a smile on your face and remember that your new life will be starting very soon! Debbie
  17. Hi Ashley, my name is Debbie. I was sleeved on Saturday, August 3. You will do fine, it's not that bad. If you want to, read my blog about my journey to the hospital, surgery and recovery. I hope it gives you some piece of mind. You will be excited and anxious right before surgery and then, you will feel better. If you have any questions feel free to write me and I will answer your questions. Take Care, Debbie

    Food Questions?

I am a big Food Network watcher too! Before and After surgery has not affected me at all. I am still watching Food Network and I still love to see different recipes. If I like one, I get onto the internet and find it and make it for my husband to eat. I still love food and just because I had gastric sleeve surgery doesn't mean I have to stop loving food! Keep on watching!
