  1. I sent think you are doing anything wrong either. If you are hungry you are eating, If you aren't then you aren't. I think it is easy for people that are not in our shoes to judge but they don't know when you are full and what you are fans aren't tolerating. Keep doing what you are if you are losing weight.
  2. Ange How is your energy these days? Have you started exercising yet? I haven't but I'm going to tomorrow. I have to go back to work on the 9th so need to start building up some endurance. Today is my last 'rest' day so I'm going to enjoy.

    fibro

I have fibro as well. I just restarted my cymbalta. I took it for a while but gained 20 lbs. I was comfortable restarting it because I have the band. My fibro is worse when I don't sleep and after anesthesia. I have chronic fatigue as well (although people blame it on me working 60-70 hours a week and working on my doctorate full time, which I don't agree). This has been a tough recovery.
  4. I am from Nebraska but not picky about where my mentor is from. I was banded Aug 6 th and need someone who has had their band a while (not picky how long). Who I can email or text when the going gets tough and I need a kind ear.
  5. You are not alone. I have always used my weight as a joke. My husband told me that he hoped I didn't leave him when I was skinny. I reassured him that I wasn't going anywhere. I would hope my personality will change for the best because I will have more energy. I understand all the questions but the bottom line is that you are doing it for you and for your health.
  6. Had surgery Aug 6th. Wondering when I can swim and start exercising. Any thoughts or suggestions?
  7. If it is up in your back between your shoulder blades that is from the gas they use to inflate your abdomen. Walking, coughing and deep breathing helps. Use the heating pad for your back helps.
  8. It's not just you. It took me 2 weeks to feel better. The first week I really questioned if I did the right thing. Are you still on liquids? Did they give you any nausea medication?
  9. If that continues let him know right away. Getting dehydrated is no fun.

    Having one of 'those' days

I was banded 8-6 and had this thought a lot for the first week especially. I still have moments of panic like what was I thinking? However I have enjoyed watching the scale go down. I am a nurse practitioner and have sent numerous people to the surgeons to have this procedure. I can now empathise with my patients and could be good support when they have those 'uhoh' moments. Hang in there and get online when you have those times. This website is great.

  14. Could be. I take my vitamins but I'm just really tired. I am praying that it gets better before I go back to work.

  18. Thanks I totally agree. Extra weight is extra weight regardless if it is 60 lbs or 100 lbs. I am excited to have energy when the weight is off. How is everyone's energy so far? I am 2 weeks out and get tired easily. I had 2 other surgeries at the same time. My overall goal is to feel better and live better.
