    Hi all. Summer vacation finally here for me only working 3 days a week. Bandaversary coming up can't believe it's been a year a great amazing life changing year. I have a check up on that day with my surgeon and go for a MBS to make sure my band is whee it should be that's his policy. Kinda excited to see my band lol I'm a need I like the video MBS I guess it's an occupational hazard as a speech/feeding therapist lol. Hosting a BBQ fir the 4th super excited it's like an anniversary party !!! I wanted to throw one last July 4 but 3 day op it wasn't an option for me. This year it will be complete with Protein shakes just for good measure lol. Completed another 5k obstacle course and can I say it was easier than the spartan race !! Never thought those words would come out of my mouth. And when I reviewed the pics. I looked like such a normal size person and I think I'm finally seeing it in my everyday life. Although I do see plastic surgery in my future summer project research surgeons and prices. After relaxing poolside for a few hours post race I went shopping and bought some shirts and even a dress in a drum roll please a MEDIUM !!! Now my pants size is still a 12 dam thighs but I'm working at it I will get into a dam single digit pants size. Again thank you all for inspiring and encouraging me here . This is my happy safe place when things are crazy good and bad . Hope I can get my older brother to join this site and get the band. I don't want to push him cause he is stubborn and will do the opposite for spite but I pray he realizes how with the work it's a healthy life hanging event. Geez that post is all over the place lol Have a awesome Sunday

    Did the rugged maniac mud run and completed all the obstacles except the rings . Too short to reach them and too weak to swing on them. My new fitness goal is build upper body strength. With all that said this 5k obstacle course was a great day. We did it for fun lot time and I even ran part of it. Note to self do not do a strenuous leg workout 2 days before a race lol. I was sore but I did it with my superhero team.

    Tom is my 5k rugged maniac mud run. I over did it at the gym Thursday with my leg workout. I pray when I wake Tom the soreness will be gib but either way I'm doing my 5k obstacle run tomorrow it was the first thing u signed up after getting banded. Last year whine in preop diet I cheered my friends one this year I'm doing it with them. We are doing a super hero theme and I'm Wonder Woman cause I wonder who this woman is but I like her lol

    New Beginnings

    You will be fine you have a great at tourer and follow doctors orders . I was banded July 1 2013 best decision ever . The first week was rough nothing major but just the fact I had surgery and thought it was like a haircut and I could go back to my full hetic schedule my body said no. Only pain was the dam shoulder pain from gas and I was a little more tired then burn so one week Out felt fine. The results are awesome so a little gas is worth becoming 1/2 my size through the band good food choices most if the tine and working out. This forum is awesome place to be . Especially in times if my doubt or struggling sometimes nothing to do with the band I just pop on and read away. For the most part everyone is great !!!

    Spin and kickboxing today. Apparently the kickboxing instructor loves to keep challenging us and pushing us no class is ever the same and I love it. Burned 1100 kcal btwn both classes how am I rewarding my hard work 32 oz of ice cold water poolside great way to spend a Sunday funday lol

    I agree with Gowalking life is good. It's funny though I didn't realize how good life could be till my band lol. Always thought I had a good life even with the extra weight but it's better now hard to explain but it and I know you all understand in a way no one else can !!! I mean my inner circle of friends are the same I'm the same inside but it's better I had another birthday celebration last night with my closest girlfriends and their adorable babies. And we all commented how things have changed for all of us the three of them motherhood and me mehood lol. Two years ago a birthday celebration would involve lots of food and drinking at a bar club restaurant etc. Last night we did take out a quiet night in with great company as I drank my warm Water (band was not happy due to stress from a home improvement project) side note I know that my band wants me to be happy cause when I'm stressed and unhappy it is too:( and it was the best birthday to date. I spent the day/night with closet girlfriends and the babies. Rocked my bday tiara with the goofy decorations loved my Disney princess sparkle like a princess decorations and that's what I'm doing sparkling smiling glueing with happiness it's all the same!! And looking at the pictures of me from last night still can't believe that's me so much as changed in a year.

    As my close friend tells me when I happily comment that my clothes are getting to Big her new thing to tell me is # skinnygirlproblems and that's what I thought when I saw your post Now we have to learn to shop in way more moderation n not so far ahead. 1 bathing suit I bought is already getting big on me but it will do for the summer. Congrats in ur success and hard work can't wait to get I to single digits myself

    You are sporty and athletic ur doing a 5k n need the outfit to go with it you will be great at the 5k if u walk jog run or sprint think was this even a possibility last year ? So proud of u

    Ok 8 schools day left stress up the wazoo being pulled in every direction and about to explode... Am I turning to eating everything sight nope I'm Taking a mentally health day from work today what am I doing on this unexpected day off a double work out at the gym. Last year I would take a day off if gym to work this tear legit taking a day off to work out and lay by the pool. Realizing take a break from life is not a bad thing especially when I get to hit the gym and catch a few extra hours of sleep:)

    Just wanted to check in with some of the most supportive and great people to wish you a happy Tuesday . School year coming to a close my birthday celebrations galore for me ! geez this year is so different in terms of food I consumed don't get me wrong I did have cake and such but it's great that my mind allows me to eat and see it for what it is and my band keeps it in check not to over indulge and my healthy eating habits allow me to enjoy my cake yet crave my healthy way of eating way more. My work out routine helps to tie it all together. July 1 2013 best day of my life as I was banded that day in secret just a few family members and friends knew. Thought I was keeping secrets but nope just sharing the thing I cherish most with the people I cherish most
