5 days in row I have gotten up at 5 a.m. and walked on my treadmill for 45 min.
Wow I never thought I would be able to go that long.
I'm not going that fast but I do go about 1.75 miles in that time.
    Not so bad for me.
It helps that i DVR shows I like and can then skip all the comercial, i HATE comercials. You don't realize that there are almost 20 min of comercials in an hour long show. I finish the show before my 45 min are up and tell my hubby 'see how much time commercials waste' he just looks at me, smiles and shakes his head.
He's heard me rant quite often on my dislike of commercials

45 min this a.m. on my treadmill. Time really goes by when I get absorbed in a show without any commercials, I HATE commercials. I have DVR'd a bunch of shows I like to watch so there is always something on I can watch, no excuses!

Just catching up on this thread -- so inspiring, the running, C25k, etc. But it's the biking that is settling into my consciousness. I am visualizing getting a new bike this spring -- one I can get up on to the top of the car on my own. And then to drive to the bike paths scattered throughout the area. I really want to do that.
    Bandista,
    As a suggestion
There are carriers that will attach to the back of cars via a hitch method or "on the trunk" style. Maybe one of these would be easier than putting it on top...Happy riding!

For three days in a row I have been getting up at 5 a.m. and going 45 min on the treadmill (instead of 30). I really hope to keep this schedule up. I feel good afterwards. My hip joints are kinda sore but hopefully that will go away eventually.

as long as you try and do the best you can (and def follow your dr's instructions for best results) you will do just fine...be realistic...be open minded and understand its a day in and day out process...its not overnight quick/easy fix....you are very attractive right this moment and i know that the person is a scared female whose past dieting attempts has made her doubt herself......i know as that was me also 19 months ago....
    you will eat good/healthy foods
exercise and you will lose weight.....let the band (or any WLS) help you...
you just help yourself.....you can do this....

Well, we are all here to support each other. I just had surgery in October and have lost 74 pounds. I was also afraid I would fail as I have lost 100 pounds twice in my life. The truth is that weight loss surgery is the tool you were missing in all your other attempts at losing weight. It is so much easier to be disciplined when you don't feel hungry all the time, can't eat as much and see quick results. All of those factors will help you succeed and keep you on track. Also, there is a shift in thinking that comes with this surgery. This is a "permanent" decision, not just "hey I think I'll diet for a month and see what happens." Take a deep breath, step back from the ledge and count the days until you take the first step to a healthier and happier you. In the meantime feel free to drop me a line if feeling overwhelmed. We are all here to support each other. You can feel safe sharing your thoughts and fears about WLS here. Everyone is in the same boat and at different stages of the voyage.

I was at Walmart and stumbled upon Farm Rich Sundried Tomato Basil chicken Meatballs. 1 serving = 6 meatballs (3 oz), 100 cal, 3.5g fat, 3g carbs, 15 g Protein. I baked 1 serving in a ramekin with 1/2 cup marinara. Top with some Parmesan and a little sautéed spinach with garlic and onions. Very tasty and with 22g protein.
